Svlad Cjelli
Libertine Well I hope he finds his form on the bench at Swansea...

Again, he'll be sure that he'll be starting, because he'll believe he's good enough.

And he's much more likely to start every game at Swandea than he would be at many other PL clubs.

We'll see. I have my doubts. I see him used mainly as a second half sub when they are chasing.

It is not like there would have been wage differences between playing here vs. playing at Swansea. But I have always liked the lad. I hope he gets a starting role as an attacking midfielder for a mid table team, which is moving up in the PL table, and does well. If he is that good why didn't Hoffenheim just hang on to him?

Dellor lets slip that West Ham have had a bid rejected for Kebe.

Also said that Kebe will either sign a new contract or be out of the club by the end of Jan.

No - he said West Ham had bid and then said that he didn't know which team it was that had bid for him.

Brian just said it best "Hope the manager there plays him in the right position".

As I understood, Brian told him it was West Ham but said "don't say who on air", which Dellor promptly forgot. Wonder if this will land him in trouble.

But will we sign a replacement before he goes? Or will we wait till he's gone and then struggle to find someone whilst bleating about clubs wanting too much money etc. etc.?

My reading of it was that "we know West Ham are interested" ..... " a bid has been received" ..... "it must be West Ham who have bid, then...."

McCarthy on his way back, so could be that Feds is off in exchange for some more black hole filling.

I think this is why Antonio has been pushing thru recently. Obita may be good enough but this will take time.

McD says he wants two players in?

And McDermott wants to bring two players in.

Whether this means "two in, two out"...?

I wonder which League 2 "projects" the team has their eyes on this year?

Tony Le Mesmer 23rd to 5th in 3 months.

"Not Strong Enough" apparently. Not strong enough for who exactly?

6 points ahead of 16th. We had a bad start, we've had a good middle, but we need to maintain and even improve our form if we are to be promoted. That might need new players.

Gooding made the same point.

Apparently McDermott wants to keep existing squad together and bring two new players in but, as Gooding pointed out, this would involve a break from recent tradition of having to sell players, in order to realise funds to bring new (cheaper) players in.

Let's not forget that the selling that happened in August has already been done - so the money from that is ready to be spent now.

Surely the money from August has been banked to cover the running costs of the club (outside of transfer business) that we so often told exceeds income by such a significant amount.

I'm not convinced we'll see significant net spend of transfers this window despite a need to strengthen.

Don't hold your breath. The same thing was said when we sold Gylfi in the summer a couple of years ago. The money had disappeared by the Jan window.

You really believe that money will be made available to McDermott?

How times in recent years have we seen funds realised over and above what we had been led to believe was required, only for those to have disappeared into another black hole by the time the manager needed to sign a player(s)?

Hammond always drives a hard bargain for our players, the fee will be 7-figures
