RFCSPACE Too much pressure and hype surrounding this game now. Terrible results for us tonight, all teams around us pulling off convincing wins away from home, the Wolves saga looks like it'll drag on until matchday and we've been so efficient lately that we'll find it hard to be so clinical sooner rather than later. 3-0 loss and out of the playoffs. Then things aren't looking so rosy.

Cardiff aren't playing, so lowest we can drop to is 6th. Other than that, agreed.

I would say another clean sheet will see us with another win. Concede and we will lose.

skipper Sean Dyche, the Watford manager, said last week in his post match comments, that their 4:0 loss to Crystal Palace, was partly down to the fact they had been on a good unbeaten run of 3 wins in 4, that their performance levels were lower than they needed to be. (So effectively saying they got cock sure, or arrogant.)

What I want our boys to keep doing is staying focussed, and not take anything for granted. Despite their recent wobble, of winning 1 of their last 5 league games, they are still a good team, at the right end of the table with a lot to play for.

I want our boys to take them seriously, and stay focussed. Let's hope our purple patch continues, and borough' are tired from their mid week journey.

3:1 win. With Hunt, Roberts and Alf to score.

Greed!

I think this is probably the most realistic post on the tread so far. I have thought this ever since our mediocre response to Burnley last Friday. I have taken the fact that Burnley were also looking for a play off push when we met last week however in the grand scheme of things we are a class apart from them and in my opinion they will finish the season in mid table.

With regards to meeting Boro this weekend, we are on a great run of results and fantastic news on McD which I’m sure will give our boys a boost. However following Skippers post, I cant help thinking a cold bucket of water over a well relaxed squad following this week off will help us to get back to our recent, more convincing form. I have to say it’s a rare luxury for any supporter to know we probably aren't playing our best but still picking up results like we have.

1:2 RFC :D Hunt & Kebe (Roberts isn't that good - surely!?)

Cant wait till Saturday URZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Ian Royal Well, it's my birthday, Reading aren't scoring a lot and are conceeding fewer. We haven't had a draw since October and we're on an unbeatable run grinding out wins like a machine. Boro are in a pretty ropey vein of form...

3-3 it is then.
Gorkss, Kebe, ALF for us.

My birthday too, and one of few games we're at this season.

Boro looked unfortunate not to beat Sunderland in the cup, but pretty confident with the upswing in the mood we will win it, but only by one.
Real need to predict the right result is for Palace and Forest to do us a favour - unlikely however, but here's hoping.
Cause for celebration.

Just picking up on one point "in the grand scheme of things we are a class apart from them " them being Burnley.
Not sure where you are coming from with that.
Saints beat Burnley 2-0.
We beat Burnley 1-0.
Does that make Saints a class apart from us?
This division (as ever) is made up of about a dozen sides who are much of a muchness and 3 of those sides will get promoted.
You have predicted Burnley to be mid table but mid table could well be as it is now, just a few points off the play-offs,hardly a class apart.
As mentioned the other day under another topic I do see this as a pivotal game but if we were to win it would very much firm up our chances of a top 6 finish.

Basic problem is (so far) that we don't score many, so games are always tight.

It just takes a couple of misses, a bad ref decision, one silly goal or class goal or freak goal against
and it's Blackpool 1-0 RFC, Hull 1-0 RFC, Forest 1-0 RFC...

I think the West Ham's, Saints, Birmingham have the advantage that they are
set up to go grab goals if they screw up. We have a stingy defence, but it will be
interesting to see us chasing a game.

Birmingham also just strengthened with goal-grabber Huseklepp I see.
We need two of those three to slip up.

3-0 Middlesbrough and questions should be asked about McDermott's suitability for the job after this result.
