Man Friday
MmmMonsterMunch Birmingham do look good at the moment - that's my one crumb of comfort. I agree with Snowball in that they'd probably have won the league if it weren't for european exploits. Just praying they can get something from the game & continue WHU's awful form at home.

Lets be honest Barnsley are awful. Birmingham is a different game entirely.

Barnsley were woeful on Friday. Didn't turn up. Incredible display in front of the cameras.

I didn't see it. I will be watching the WHU match tomorrow. KRO!

Barnsley were beyond woeful against West Ham; the fact that BFS and his team settled for 4-0 says more about West Ham then it does Barnsley, who were so bad that a team properly up for it would have got into double figures against them on Friday evening.

Amusing how so many West Ham fans see a victory against terrible opponents as them "turning the corner" after we stuffed them.

DeLOLuded!!!

With Brum really hitting form, with West Ham's recent home form simple awful, and with the weight of their own fans expectations weighing heavily on the West Ham players, I can see Brum winning at Upton Park tomorrow - though I'd actually be happier if there were a draw as Brum are an outside threat to our top 2 place.

cmonurz As my first and only match this season will be Forest at home, I am naturally hoping we are in a position to secure promotion by beating Forest a week on Tuesday.

Same here, been listening on the radio though, does that count.

You devote your time to RFC. Does anything else matter?

loyalroyal4life Saints ended up drawing thanks to a 94th min equaliser from Pompey, what a strike what a game!

Saints father in law said if Reading came out and stifled their flowing game from the start and also put a aggressive stamp into our tackling then he can only see a draw

I will say this again before the week is out but as much as we are effectively playing "Lambert United", the one to watch is Lallana.

His performances all season have been awesome.

Cummings is going to need a massive tracking back support from Kebe (or whoever starts RM) and our centre mid right. Stifle him and we stifle their creativity. He's right footed but plays on the left and cuts in effectively. Think Taarabt but more deadly and a team player.

Mark my words. That is where the game is going to be won or lost.

soggy biscuit I am out of the country until the next home game, will be on a plane during the Brighton game and will not be able to even follow what is happening at the Southampton game

I shall be hoping that West Ham get the bare minimum so that promotion is won when I can be there

I'm flying to Hong Kong on Tuesday night and back to Dubai very early morning on the 14th, I will miss two of the most crucial games of the season which wil be in play,I'm already thinking of asking the crew to find out for me!

Can't see west ham continuing to be so unpredictable, think they will get maximum points from their next two games, and us only getting one point from Brighton and southampton, leaving trailing by a point with three to play, so it's who holds their nerve from there.

Ever the optimist !!!

I think WHU may well get 4 points from their next 2. Can't see them getting 6. They are hardly on a hot streak - 2 wins from last 8. Brighton can't stand them so imagine they'll be right up for that game.

Even more so if we turn them over on Tuesday as they'll need to go all out against WHU to get a play-off spot.

Bricking it at the moment. This is without doubt the most crucial week in the season for us and in my opion will make or break us. If we draw or lose at Brigton, then it is highly likely we well need to beat Southampton away. I think 4 points from the next 2 would be an outstanding achievement and what is required to keep us on track for automatic promotion. Anything less than 3 points from those games, then I think we will be in trouble. Need to get it done and dusted by Brum away as they are in excellent form at the moment.

....still see Sham dropping points in remaining games ...and it's good to see Leicester making a fist of it as Sham have still to play them away...a point tonight would be a good result and extends the lead to that 4 points gap....I'm hoping it doesn't come down to goal difference though

I too would be staggered if we win at Brighton and Southampton, not least as it would make the title very realistic. Can see 2 points max from those 2 games. My preference would be to clinch promotion against Palace as i'll be there. As has been said winning it on the night West Ham play Leicester would be an anticlimax, although I wouldn't want it to come down to the final day where promotion being decided by goal difference looks very possible...

To be honest, if you're not promoted before the clocks go forward then what's the point?

Promotion's bound to be won at the Palace game as I can't make that one.

Interesting that the Reading name has become such strong magic that Steve Claridge can't even say it now. On the FL Show last night - paraphrasing as I can't remember verbatim:

MB: So you're tipping Reading for automatic?
SC: I'm not going to say it.
MB: But you said you can't see them slipping up, so you are tipping them?
SC: What do you think?

If we get more points than WHU do on Tuesday then that leaves a 7+ point gap with only 6 left to play for, so yes we could.

If we better West Ham's result, yes.
