Balls. Hopefully Greece will actually have a bit of a go now. Germany look vulnerable at the back.

Greeks push forward, leave holes at the back, Germany will crucify them. German defence has only looked weak because there was two of them for most of the half.

Starfish
southbank1871 Has anything ever been more inevitable than that goal. Gr8 strike though.

Indeed. It will be interesting now to see what the Greeks can bring to the table.

They'll be hoping to stay only 1-0 down until the last 20 and then take some risks I'd reckon - or try and force a set piece.

A German victory with the weather we're having in Bavaria at the moment = me in with a very good chance of picking up a drunk 23 year old and getting my brown wings 2012. Leaving the house now - pray for Starfish.

I reckon this will end 3 or 4-1.

Ozil is superb, a joy to watch at times.

Hmm, I'm hoping a nice big windfall from a Greece win, but if not then I shall find solace through that image. Good luck.

I haven't seen many more one-sided halves of football than that in the knock-out stages of a major tournament. Probably not since the second half of our defeat to Germany in 2010.

Dear oh dear. Germany way too casual in possession and caught on the break.

The Greek keeper is shocking. Can't see Germany not getting a second.

I'm frankly surprised it took that long for the financial cliche's - unless I've missed some

Greece to win on pens.

Though I'd much rather see us do that.
