Tell that to West Ham fans, relegated couple of times now, and they pay mega bucks. Or the big payers in the Championship, who failed to go up while little Reading stormed away, in the quiet way we do things.

92% correlation does not mean paying big wages guarantees survival. Or that as long as you spend big, regardless of your quality of spending, you'll do well.

no one said it did

I believe HSSC kinda implied it by saying it didn't work that way for West Ham or Leicester.

melonhead you also have to remember that with win bonuses and league position bonus' the correlation is to be expected. and may be the result of money being payed after success, not the other way round

That's a good and fair point. It will definitely have an impact, but I'd question how large an impact outside the top handful.

true but the huge money payed by those top few will very likely skew the whole picture significantly
your also more likely to just get payed loads more by being at a top club as a matter of course, and therefore be pretty much guaranteed more success

Delboy Despite the Premiership windfall and Antons millions, are we the lowest spenders in the transfer window!

We should have signed Jake Forster-Caskey.

Keep an eye out for any Butler-Cureton hybrids as well. Sure they'd both be cheap.
