Snowball I am appalled and disgusted at the reprehensible behaviour of this depraved young man
who I believe does not even vote Tory.

He was out after 9PM, and exposed himself in public.

What if a woman, for example, my dear wife, had been witness to this deplorable action?

What of A CHILD had seen this?

At the very minimum he should be flogged and the conscripted
and sent to Afghanistan where our heroic boys could make a man of him.

Failing that I would suggest he should get 4,000 hours community service
and have his pay withheld for a minimum of one year.

Agreed.

He's on twitter defending himself. Give it up, Sean, you were caught bang to rights. Either he donates a months wages to bladder control charities or I'm getting a refund on my season ticket.

Silly boy. Fine by the club, proper smack down from MaccyD and assuming he takes his medicine and seems suitably remorseful then nuff said.

Snowball has it spot on. So what? He's 21. Nobody died, nobody got injured, he acted like a bit of an idiot but everyone's entitled to do that once, and who hasn't taken a piss in public at some point? McDermott will have a word for sure, but I'd fully expect him to be a Reading FC player this time next year.

I see your straw man, and raise you ten thousand straw men:
Your hope seems to be that in the future all our players will follow this brilliant young man's example, and stay out drinking, pissing in public and waving their willys about in the faces of anyone who might be passing by, you seem believe that is what RFC as a football club is all about.
That should set great examples for our youth team to follow, and hopefully in Snowballs dream future we can see 30-40 young men standing side by side, waving their willys about in public, while they piss, vomit and perhaps defecate a little too?!?

Newcastle away seems an enticing option now.

It's not so much what he did though, it's the potential underlying problems it exposes with his attitude and judgement. It's certainly not lynch mob time, but given he's only a fringe player anyway it's not really like losing him would be a huge loss either.

Me, Schards and our 6 kids for a start... :|

I know nobody died and nobody got injured, but that's not really the point. I know professional footballers have a few drinks when they're not playing, and, yes, Robin Friday - in this day and age, would be pilloried for some of the escapades he got up to - but in those days, they weren't paid anything like players get paid these days, they weren't given strict diets to adhere to and also these days, RFC have a real "clean" ethos about the club - as long as what the players do, they do in private without drawing attention to themselves, the club can't complain. To be playing the tw@t in public and then to be fined for urinating in a public place goes against the image the club are trying to foster. They know the rules, if they break them, they should expect a dressing down. And, it makes me laugh when it's players like Morrison, who I don't even think I've seen play for us, who think they're something special and behave in such a way. I'm sure McD will have a few stern words for him and I hope he grows up a bit. Shane Long was a kid when he joined, swiftly became a regular first team player but you never heard a whiff of what he got up to - Morrison should take a leaf out of his book.

You lot really need to find something to do on a Sunday.

He got pissed and had a wee down an alleyway. The Sun is hardly a credible source in any case.

Not his finest hour by any means and I am sure McDermott will read him the riot act, but don't think this is serious enough to show a promising young player the door.

Judging by his tweets he seems your typical dim footballer but in his defence it does sound like The Sun (unsurprisingly) have exaggerated things somewhat.

LOL. If any of your kids are of drinking age and male then I would bet my house that they have.

My indignation was faux but some people seem genuinely upset by this.

He's nearly 19 and I can absolutely bet my house on the fact he's never taken a pee in public. He's just not like that.

Anyway, I'm only indignant about this because of the way the players normally conduct themselves and Morrison has let them down imo - plus the fact, as I've mentioned twice already, he's a fringe player, nothing special - so who does he think he is. That's what annoys me really!

I'm disgusted and will be writing a strongly worded letter to the Daily Mail. I would never do such a thing myself! Especially in front of a hotel or picking a random example, from the top of my head, the Forbury Gardens.

Bollocks. A bloke when pissed can hold it for 3-4 drinks, but when he goes, he'll need a pee almost every 20-30 minutes. He will almost certainly have had a pee in an alley or snuck behind a tree. He's hardly likely to tell his mum that he was busting and had a sneak wee on the way home, is he? And as for saying "he's not like that" - like what? I suppose we're all scum are we?

Thank fcuk Barton never played for us. The hand wringing indignation would implode this board. Ideal with his extreme (believe everything a rag of a paper writes) and notch it up some more posting. Yes he's an idiot for doing what he did and being stupid enough to get caught. A rag that just because we are more in the public domain makes the players more newsworthy than in the past. If he shows he's going to learn from this then fine. Its what the club can get out of him from here on in which will show either club tolerance or him being moved on.
It's not exactly the massive fall from grace some of you are making it out to be.

This. I've taken many many pisses when I've been caught out. I should have been shot at birth.

Tbf to Ideal I don't think it's ridiculous to expect a certain amount of professionalism from a young guy getting paid a fair amount of money to represent the club properly.

Of course most males his age will have done the same, but most of them aren't professional sportsmen. So that's a pretty ridiculous defence.

Does he deserve flogging? No, of course not, but he does deserve a good slap across the wrists.

A source [probably even more blitzed than Morrison] said: “Sean was completely blitzed. The bouncers in Aura threw him out and told him to go home but he didn’t get the message. He started staggering round the streets waving his willy around and urinating in front of anyone who cared to see. Some police officers spotted him and nicked him but he still didn’t seem to realise what he’d done.”

Sounds like a random bloke exaggerating the story of his night spent drinking NEAR a professional footballer. I couldn't get drunk enough to live up to that version, and I expect few idiots even could. But ever pissed in an alley? Yes.
