floyd__streete So we had the outburst last year in the media that he wanted a move, a public sulk on his Instagram about his supposed injury and now his dopey missis speaking out about it. The club has looked after Federici, took a punt on a nobody from down-under and stood by him after the numerous mistakes he made in his early years. Now we are in the Greed League every single mistake could cost us millions. We have a young English keeper desperate to play, who didn’t sulk when he himself was dropped in favour of Federici and we also have experienced back-up in Taylor.
I genuinely hope we never see Federici in a Reading shirt again. No wonder everyone hates Australians, conceited twats.
floyd__streetecmonurz Your tone on this thread is ridiculous, sandman. You'd think McCarthy had run over your Mum.
Tbf, you are forgetting something here. You're forgetting that Sandman is actually a clueless tool.
I am quite r@ttled by the McCarthy h8. As far as I can see he's been a model professional, performed adequately in his fleeting appearances for us and has been generally well rated wherever he's been on loan. A decent young prospect who we have bred through the academy.
Yet he's being slated on here. A few weeks back a good portion of absolute numpties sang McCarthy's name as Federici conceded his third soft goal in three games. I thought that was very poor from the supporters. But not nearly as poor as indirectly slating your manager - one of the most successful managers in the club's history who, in his time as scout, brought you as a complete unknown to the club - on Instagram then having your dopey missis give her own unwelcome opinions on the situation.

TBF I walked passed him before kick off when he was signing autographs en route to the ground and said "alright Feds?" and he said "yeah". He must've known then he wasn't even on the bench, so I doubt this is correct.
Still doesn't change my opinion of him and his WAG(s) BTW.

CypryHoop Blah I'm sure McDermott said he'd told Federici he wasn't playing on Saturday as well, but then his Instagram picture looks to be his kit in the dressing room so who knows....
I'm not quite sure what to make of that Instagram picture to be honest - you can't even see whose kit it is - is it Feds? Is it McCarthys?
The other thing is that you cannot see what the timeline is - was it a picture taken this weekend even? It could have been taken some time ago - that screenshot doesn't show times and dates for either the picture or the comments - it could simply have been Feds hitting back at some of the negative stuff from a couple of weeks back (singing McCarthys name etc), we don't even know when he was asked if he was injured - it could have been weeks ago and it's only after the weekend that someone picked up on it.....
If someone has evidence to the contrary then so be it, but until then I'll go with innocent until proven....

cmonurz2 world wars, 1 world cup McCarthy, who'll likely make a bunch of errors and we'll all be calling for Feds again and he'll return in glory.
Why? He was excellent at Leeds, so-so at Ipswich, and generally very good for us. Really have no idea where the lack of enthusiasm for McCarthy comes from.

robbieroyal Presumably if Feds wants to continue his career here he will have to release a statement diffusing the situation?
Some fans already are not gonna forgive him....

It was posted on Sunday afternoon and was a photo of Federici's #1 shirt...I saw it myself and even commented with 'McCarthy made some great saves today' and hey presto, approx 2 minutes later the photo had mysteriously vanished

Not sure what BMc is going on about here. Not sure he's telling the full truth. Depends what he means by unrest. Very wooly statement.
