Caskeys Lovechild I'd rather have Jimmy Saville and Freddie Starr as our managers , than that smug tosser. Get some perspective people. Adkins is a League 1 manager who got lucky. Brian is a championship level manager, who has got extremely unlucky by being promoted - as its basically meant oxf*rd like you lot, want him sacked.

If we were in Saints position having won double promotions, I wouldn't expect to stay up at all and I'd be mightily peeved if the manager who'd done it got sacked no matter how bad we were. Saints can easily afford relegation and consolidation at Chump level for another push in a couple of years.

I see us in a different position. We're not as stretched because we haven't won double promotion and we're actually trying to consolidate at this level.

Thats bollocks. Southampton are historically a big club. And like the Hammers, they feel arrogantly that they rightly deserve their place at the top table by default. We don't think like that, because our history and past success is entirely different.

Obviously I would love us to stay up, but I won't be heartbroken if we go down. I felt that this promotion came a year too early from the start and I feel like if we have Brian in charge in three or four years time I think we will be in a position where we are looking like a a good side to consolidate in the prem. Don't forgot this is a learning curve for Brian as much as it is for the players, that's no excuse for his naivety but personally I feel that he has earned a whole season in the prem. Just my opinion

No it's not bollox, it's exactly how I see it. Saints fans might not, but that isn't my problem. I don't give a rats arse if Saints are historically a big club.

Same shit, different week.

Same wasteful and useless long-ball tactics. Same poorly chosen substitutes and always at the wrong time. No doubt the same bullshit excuses. (take the positives, it's a positive group, I believe in this group...) - Do the group believe in you? I'd argue it's perhaps 70/30 if you're lucky.

As much as I love the guy for what he's done here, he's completely lost. He makes the same mistakes every game and doesn't show any signs of learning from those mistakes.

I'm fully expecting a return to the Championship next season, and more than happy with it too, but I still don't think we should go into that season with BM in charge. He genuinely believes in these god awful tactics, and some of these woeful players (Leigertwood as a holding midfielder for Christ's sake... every fcuking week). We got lucky last season with these tactics, we said we would be found out playing such a dangerous game at this level, and next season we too would need an awful lot of luck again, or most probably we'll be a 6th to 10th place side.

Brian, you have to go. You've done an amazing job, but save face, go with your head held high, and let us bring someone in who has fresh eyes and new ideas, and hopefully someone with a stern man-management style. Brian is far far too soft!

Am I right that he picked the same team again after 2 previous defeats?
I have heard of not changing a winning team but not changing a consistently losing team?
It really is like King Canute, just sat there waiting for the tide to turn but doing nothing.
I still don''t expect him to lose his job tonight but if we lose again at Sunderland that could be curtains but giving a new man two or three games to look at what we have got before the window in January although personally I think that will be too late unless we find a Harry Houdini.

Can't wait until Sunderland. He has to go now. Teams often seem to be buoyed by a new manager coming in which would give us a better chance on Tuesday. In the meantime the new manager can also be considering how he's going to change things. BM is out of his depth. RFC need to let go or drown with him.
