He is completely the wrong striker we need.

We need a fast striker and he isn't going to run the channels.

Remember we don't play balls into strikers feet.

Which is why we need a tall striker. We hoofed it up to ALF and Hunt all night long Tuesday and created maybe one chance all game. At least with another big man we might have some joy

I don't believe Pavlychenko is a target man striker.

We need to find our own Benteke.

Anybody but him. I'd prefer to see carl sheppard starting instead of him.

Get him in along with Sidwell and Joe Cole in midfield and a couple of nasty bastard centre backs. The spine of the team is nowhere near strong enough

Might as well see if we can get Heskey in then.

Good enough player; can't get into a top team but possibly would be a starter for most in the bottom half.

But like others have said, strikers ain't our problem. Midfield surely has to be the top if only priority.

Don't agree with those who say strikers shouldn't be a priority.

We had plenty of possession against Sunderland, and got the ball wide well, but there was absolutely no presence up front.

Hmmm. Can't comment as missed that game. But in general the strikers seem to be scoring plenty of goals and not sure I'd be blaming Roberts, Alfie, Hunt or Pog for the mess we are in.

How many have strikers scored from open play this season? Genuine question, but pretty sure it will be <4

Invalidated your comment at this point. Sure he'd score some goals, but it won't take long for the fans to get on his back from shooting from 35 yards each time he gets the ball. People like him get greedy when there is a complete lack of service.

We did.

We weren't dominant by any means, but had the ball in good areas a number of times and made little use of it by lack of movement/no creativity/shite crossing

Russian media hopping on this and claiming a £7m deal is done with the club.

Load of utter nonsense. We wouldn't spend that when we're staring relegation in the face and he wouldn't commit to us either.
