SPARTA Bit of a risk this, isn't it? A young unproven manager replacing someone who has won back-to-back promotions and has done a decent job this season.

Adkins sacked, what are these owners thinking.

Adkins had done a fantastic job for the Saints, clubs will be queuing up for him.

Changing their the manager mid season, they may now well go down.

Total madness. He has done a brilliant job for them...and their form was improving too?!

I guess it could well represent a positive for us as that must surely hit morale in their dressing room.

If McDermott were to leave us, he would be a very good replacement.

Mega LOLz

Especially considering as much as I think he's a massive bell Saints' japanese player (can't remember his name) was on telly yesterday putting their success down to how approachable Adkins is, for a massive bell

And even more puzzling really. Why wait until they have had a string of decent/good results, are playing well and don't really look like relegation candidates at the moment.

Royal With Cheese I'm absoultely flabbergasted.

This.

A crazy decision.

From a RFC point of view - fine, the way they were going it looked like they had a decent chance to stay up. Now they've rolled the die and it's just as likely they'll get worse as better IMO.

They play Everton and the Manchester clubs in the next 4 games. Combine that with an unpopular new appointment and discord in the camp and I really don't see how this new fella (who apparently doesn't speak English) is going to hit the ground running (only 16 games left..)

OH WELL. Good for us I feel so whatever.

Odd decision at this stage of the season. Terrible for the Saints fans who still have to back the team knowing that the club is run by shitbags.

Adkins replaced by a coach that was sacked from Espanyol with them bottom and with 9 points from 13 games.

Outrageous decision.

Can only hope this triggers a massive slump aiding our fight for survival.

The Rouge Glad I support Reading with this kind of crap around.

100% this. Whatever happens this season at least we have stability, we're slowly building, and we are highly unlikely to go into free fall.

Probably hoping to get the "Harry Effect". Whether they stay up or not I think is pretty well down to whether Lambert stays injury free.

I'm gob-smacked by this. The guy's won back-to-back promotions and the team are 15th in the prem. I really hope they go down now, exactly what they deserve.
