Shambles of a club - it was obvious something was up when the Boyd deal fell through for a failed eye test

I wonder whether any of these clubs that keep changing managers will actually end up in a higher position than when they started the process.

Have had a look at the managerial changes we’ve had this season – criteria are changes made before 15th Dec, seems reasonable to allow a 6 week period for the new manager to make real changes; and that the board sacked the manager, not that he left the club to go somewhere else.

Sean Dyche (Watford) – sacked in the summer after finishing 11th in 2011-12. Watford currently 4th in the Championship under Gianfranco Zola.
Steve Cotterill (Forest) – sacked in the summer after finishing 19th in 2011-12. Forest currently 11th in the Championship, but seriously, what a shambles of a club.
Andy Thorn (Coventry) – Thorn took Coventry down, and after opening their League One campaign with three successive draws, he was sacked in August. Currently 8th in League One under Mark Robins.
John Sheridan (Chesterfield) – relegated into League Two for this season, two points from three games at the start of the season, Sheridan was sacked in August and they brought in Paul Cook and have consolidated to 11th place.
Terry Brown (AFC Wimbledon) – long-term servant sacked in September after a bad start to the season, the club are still bottom of the football league with Neil Ardley in charge.
John Ward (Colchester) – didn’t win any of their first nine league and cup games, Joe Dunne made a great start coming in in September, but then they lost 9 in a row. Currently 19th in League One, 10th last season.
Steve Kean (Blackburn Rovers) – another shambles of a club, they had 14 points from 7 games when Kean left the club. They’ve managed only 26 points from 22 games since.

Edit: this is a bit boring, and time consuming, might look at more later. There's obviously a couple in their who get through managers like we take dumps, but otherwise I'd say Watford, Coventry and Forest (ish) look better off, Blackburn have got worse, and the rest have stabilised/stagnated.

Atkins to Forest?

I think he'd do well there if he got a chance to actually manage.

Possibly but would he want to go and work for what appears to be another set of basket case owners? Think he will hold out for a Lower end Prem job or Villa in the summer if they go down.

Di Canio expected sooner rather than later -

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... ck-1588457

Cash-strapped Swindon are ready to sack manager Paolo di Canio – because he is too expensive.

The extrovert Italian faces the axe despite a good run of results at the League One promotion chasers, where he is paid a thumping salary.

Di Canio claimed last week that he was “considering his position” after star Matt Ritchie was sold and he was given no money for new players.

Now Swindon’s potential new owners are poised to change manager if they are given Football League blessing to take control in the next 48 hours.

Buyer Jed McCrory is keen to land Brian Stein and Mike Newell as the new management team after the pair worked together at Luton.

Stein is pals with former Banbury United supremo McCrory. Newell has been out of the game since a spell at Hartlepool but is keen to return.

Di Canio’s exit would be unpopular with Swindon fans but the former Celtic, Sheffield Wednesday and West Ham star's reign has been a strain on the Town coffers, with his own wages a major factor in the imminent change.

He's the name rumoured among Forest fans too.

Believe he was manager at the short lived Sporting Fingal (Ireland) for a time.
