You are utterly, utterly deluded if you think we stand a chance in hell of getting Lallana or Puncheon next season.

Mayuka would give us the pace we need up front, he was excellent for Young boys and has a good record for his national side. However he's on a 5 year contract at Saints so its unlikely.

AkpansBFF Being hopeful, Lallana, Puncheon & Sharp

You mean being completely unrealistic. Sharp maybe, but he apparently had a lot to say when he left Saints to go on loan.

Sharp is realistic not sure about him and adkins though
Lallana was reportedly upsettled not sure how true
Puncheon is mainly a benchwarmer under their new manager

If Lallana is unsettled, he will go somewhere else in the prem. Puncheon would sooner go to a promoted side.

Le Tissier has just come out of retirement... coincidence? He’d love to reignite the famous Le Tiss / Big Nige partnership that shot them to Euro glory at the New Dell Portsmouth Stadia back in the 70’s, with their legendary telepathic partnership.

Lallana will end up at a top club soon, not stepping down a division.

What sort of a job? Saints don't rate him.

Any Reading fan expecting us to spend big this summer is going to be very disappointed. We might get a £2m Billy Sharp, and a £1m someone or other, but then it'll be sensible punts as always. I think we'll see a few kids pushing the first eleven next season. It's one of the key things that attracted us to Adkins.

No offence, but how long have you been following football for?

Fox had a deserved reputation as the best left back in the league when we last got relegated. He scored an excellent goal against us, one of five that season. He earned a move to Celtic, where he fell out of favour, and then to Burnley, where he was good enough to replace Dan Harding at Southampton. Dan Harding, incidentally, came on loan to Reading as cover for Armstrong and performed well. Fox then played a very important role in Southampton's promotion, with 11 assists from full back, the same number as various creative players like George Boyd, Jobi McAnuff and Liam Lawrence, more than Jimmy Kebe, Adam Lallana or James Henry. He was found out when Southampton were promoted. There has been the suggestion that he has had a struggle with an off-the-pitch issue.

In short, he's an excellent Championship left back who has struggled at Premier League level and could be a great signing. He has moved for upwards of £1m three times in his career and he is only 26.

Richard Chaplow, accodring to the sun.
READING’S new boss Nigel Adkins will swoop on former club Southampton to sign midfielder Richard Chaplow.
But he faces competition from Millwall where Chaplow, 28, was on loan, and Leicester when he becomes a free agent in the summer.

Chaplow at his best is a decent standard top end chump player but is he much better than what we've got already?

I remember he scored a great free-kick against us when at Coventry and several similar ones that season .... but he's FK goals seem to have dried up since then.
