Absolute shit 2nd half.

Blackman is TERRIBLE! He has done nothing at all positive in any of his games. Looked like he might have a long throw but he can't even do that right.

Adkins should have made some oxf*rd subs. Carrico on literally anyone off + Blackman off and literally anyone on.

Defending was shit. Referee was shit.

Looking forward to seeing what Adkins can do with summer investment and a full pre-season. Promising signs there for all to see today, despite the fact we are still completely shite at defending high balls.

akranes
Royal91 That £60m softens the blow!

It does considering most of us are content with relegation and the rebuilding process.

If Nick Blackman is representative of the "rebuilding process" I'll get my coat.

ZacNaloen Blackman has been overall poor on that wing, if Hal was fit we'd be winning this

I can't quite put my finger on it as I have accepted we are going down since the Wigan 0-3, but this afternoon has really disappointed me.

It might well be that Adkins wanted to see him play 90 minutes in this sort of game before deciding what to do about him over the summer.

Might not be the same, but I felt like we got really sucker punched today. Played much better football and for most of the 1st half and some of the 2nd we were the better team. Yet we still lost due to 3 horrific minutes. Oh well.

Can't understand why Carrico and Le Fondre didn't come on.

Wouldn't have needed to be Messi

Crossing, shooting, dribbling all superior to Blackman who found himself in good positions and oxf*rd up all three of those consistently. Leaving us completely toothless on one side of the pitch.

What impact would either of them have had on the direction the game was going?

Fair enough. Of everyone in the squad I think he's the only person to do NOTHING positive tho. Even Samuel showed more potential in his appearance at Villa.

I know he's only played ~5 games but he has not done 1 single good thing yet.

Maybe they are not as good as some have convinced themselves they are.

A bigger impact than not bringing on any subs at all.

We had a few half chances in the box that ALF might have got on the end of. Carrico was quality against Liverpool, might have lifted the team a little bit today.

They could have had a negative impact...

Losing 2-1 away at Norwich isn't a shocking result, and doesn't really suggest Adkins did anything wrong today. Given the physicality of the Norwich side Le Fondre would have got lost, and given that Carrico is a defender/midfielder I doubt he'd have given the creative spark we needed.

Probably the really promising first half performance that certainly had me thinking we were looking good for a win.

Pleased that following a period of hoofball after we went 2-0 down, we started trying to pass the ball again. When we pulled the goal back I thought we stood a good chance of grabbing a point, so I feel deflated too.
