Why hasn't he been playing for Aston Villa?

Three reasons.

Firstly, injuries. More than one.

Secondly, when he has played for the past two seasons, he hasn't been nearly as good as in his breakthrough season. You'll probably remember him being tipped as a future international a few years ago- where have those tips gone? He just hasn't progressed, and if anything has regressed a bit, whereas Villa have brought in lots of exciting youngsters like Westwood, Lowton and Bennett, and the others they already had like Weimann, Clark, Baker and Delph have improved.

Thirdly, Lambert has experimented with 5-3-2, which means no Albrighton. N'Zogbia kept getting games because he could play inside, but Albrighton is a more limited player and can only really play right wing.

If we sorted him out, then we'd have a tremendous talent on our hands.

Could have said the same for David Bentley. As long as he is hungry (which Im sure he is) then he will be more than welcomed by me.

Think it would be a good for both parties. Albrighton needs a move to kick start his career, and we could use a guy on the wing capable of putting a decent cross in.
