For me I think Biabany and sissoko would be two good bits of business and I don't think we will have a problem up top with Pog up there getting quality service from the likes of Drenthe and supposedly biabany, I know people are raving about QPRs squad but is ours much weaker with the addition of these two

I fail to see how people could want more from a window that's brought us Drenthe, Williams, Bridge, these two and one where we've kept hold of most of our players.

We have made a profit from this transfer window and failed to strenghten key positions.. Of course we want more. Get your blue tinted glasses off

Are these actual runners? I just hope for the sake of Hammond that he can pull these 2 off, otherwise he can kiss his job bye bye

A 'profit' which would be spent on fees and wages for the signings we've made. It's not really a profit, is it?

How does having only three specialist centre backs one of whom has question marks over whether he can even perform at this level anymore Do you? What about being left with a striker who doesn't look like he gives a damn, another one who is far from the finished article and one who may never play again and even if he does is unlikely to be a regular?

Bridge, Drenthe and Sissoko all have pedigree and have played, with the exception of Bridge, for some of the world's biggest clubs but it shouldn't distract from the fact we've seemingly failed to bring in what the squad really needed, bar a left back and even then I think we should've bought another LB as a back up for him in the regular Transfer Window.

Sissoko may still happen as he has cancelled his contract with PSG yesterday meaning he is a free agent so he can be signed permanently even though the window is shut.

Never heard of Biabany so can't comment on him.

Before we all get giddy on these three, lets evaluate them.

Drenthe, without doubt a real coup of a signing, hence why he is pretty much one of the first on the team sheet.

Bridge - the name and background suggest we have done bloody well here. Speaking to work colleagues who are season ticket holders at Brighton, i asked them why he was politely playing for them in the Championship, surely he was better than that. Their reply was "he isn't a bad player, but if you didn't know who he was etc, you'd not guess he was recently an England international". He's steady but his best days are behind him, and after we'd signed him, they again said he will do a job in this league, but won't cut it anymore in the Premiership.

Williams - not exactly done enough in training and on the field to nail a first team place in Adkins eyes, especially when you consider we are hardly sticking with a winning formula. I am not saying he is crap, far from it, but i guess NA hasn't seen enough yet to think "He is an automatic starter, and any side i put out is weaker without him".

Kaspars Gorkss, Tall Latvian fella sometimes sports a beard, plays for Reading, noticeably struggled last season in the PL, went on loan and was then part of a team that got relegated from this division, was part of a defence that conceded 6 last week. Come on Melonomahead even your drug addled brain can remember all that.

Definitely 'should have done better'.
We need a cb and a striker.
We can get a back up cb in the loan market.
But we need a striker better than anyone we'll be able to find in the loan market.

Nothing wrong with the phrasing. Pretty obvious I was referring to "why people would want more from the window" outlining deficiencies we still have in our squad in terms of Positions on the pitch that we have seemingly failed to recognise and then I addressed your points about the signings we made.

Take off those RTG's and you might be able to see better.

I must have forgotten it takes one player to relegate a team and also to lose in a 6-0 defeat :D

I'm not saying he was wholly to blame though I said he was "part of". Learn to read I'm begging ya.

Fair dos, I take your point. I just hate it when some people judge a player as being crap just because he's had a bad season, aka Ledge in my opinion, would still do a job in the championship.
