Lampard doesn't seem to fare as well in stats that aren't made up.

There doesn't seem to be a column for Ballon D'Or top 3 finishes on your chart, E-P. 8)

Aye, that's not bad. It's true as well, which is refreshing.

Because the table is for 2013, rather than 2005?

Yep, less than Ramsey, Yaya Toure, Eden Hazard, Jay Rodriguez, and the same as Nasri and Ozil, all in the league. Top MidfieLOLder.

So he's still up there with the best despite being past his prime. Thanks for that.

Mate had a look on Sun+.

No such stat exists regarding Lampard. But rather than embarrass you further, let's move past it - Kes, as a Lampard fan, why do you think he has been unable to replicate his club form internationally?

As Big Foot said, the last time he was any good was 2004/2005. What do you think is the reason behind the discrepancy between performances for club and country?

Hmm. Don't think you can knock Frank for scoring 5 goals in circa 20 games.

You could knock him for lacking creativity though, compared to other midfielders. But then, I guess that's often been his problem; he's always been more of a goal scorer than a midfielder - that's not a criticism, btw. Some players while limited can excel with the right team around them, the right amount of set-piece responsibility and the right opponents in front of them. Maybe this is why he has struggled to replicate his club form for his country, though I'd like to hear why a fan of his might think it is.

Of course the stat doesn't exist because it was all lies.

Not necessarily criticising him for his goals, more Kes for gloating in it, when there are several players doing the same/better, including some distinctly average players.

Consistency to do it year in, year out is key. Lampard is the only player to have scored 10+ PL goals in 10 consecutive PL seasons, despite being a) fat, b) past it, c) a midfielder, d) useless. Why is this?

Because he is an excellent player for his club. But why hasn't he matched this form for country?

It does really exist. It was in the Sun on Sunday Football pull out. There was an article on why Lampard had suffered some abuse from England fans when A) he was the 2nd highest scorer in 2014 qualifying and B) he created the most chances during 2014 qualifying.

Whether you choose to believe it or not is up to you. But it wouldn't be the first time Liverpool fans ignored the truth to suit their own agenda.

Anyway, looking forward to your reply about how you have me on your ignore list.

But he has. He was voted England fans player of the year in consecutive seasons.

I suspect Ronaldo won't be quite as good when he's 35 as he is now........

Haven't most of those players you quoted had more game time than Lampard this season? Just a thought.
