Certainly not the star of the show but was ok. Played a big part in the first 2 goals with excellent set piece deliveries. The first a free kick and the second a corner. I think this is how it will go for England, solid 6 and 7 out of 10 performances. Deep lying playmaker with the odd 50 yard Hollywood pass. The days of the box to box Stevie G are long gone. Happens to them all.

They won't win the league, but Liverpool have to be the best team to watch in the league at the moment. The speed with which they attack is breathtaking. Sterling's first was an absolute peach, and their fourth actually came off the back of an Arsenal counter-attack. Brilliant stuff.

Indeed - flatm8 and I watching, said "wtf is that corner" as Gerrard took it, only to see Suarez peeling off and I muttered "surely he won't hit that"

If that had gone in, that would've been one of my favourite goals of all time
