is the Ladies team part of Reading Football Club? Or is it run as a separate entity?

Cash flow should be relatively OK again for a short period of time, given the season ticket renewal money.

Ring fenced funding but run very much as an integral part. Facilities and some expertise provided by Reading Football club e.g. they have offices (albeit in a portacabin I believe) at the Mad Stad.

According to Charles Watts /Get Reading, the vultures are starting to circle as HMRC are seeking tax that hasn't been paid by the club.

So the rumours on here are true even if the value of the debt was wrong.

That's what happens when a spoiled kid, using daddy's millions, buys a toy he doesn't know how to use. He was in completely over his head. And when daddy found out how much his new toy would end up costing him he took the toy away and sent sonny boy to his room without dinner.

We will definitely go into administration by the end of the summer if a new owner is not found in the next few weeks. I give us a month max before HMRC go to the courts. We need one of these interested parties to buy us. We are in such a mess who cares who gets us. Otherwise we will be on -10 points with half our first team gone and fighting relegation. Start thinking about Portsmouth.. We need some good news from the boardroom. So far talks have broken down. Let's see what happens this time around.

Do we have a fans group who could chip in with money? Perhaps we need to seriously look at setting up a supporters trust.

See my thread on STAR re setting up a trust. Think 10k is way too much for me. Might manage 1k. Anyway, I am overseas but back in July. Could try and meet up. Get a group together. Together we might be able to do something.

It's only £3.2 million. Sell McCarthy - sorted.

Renewed yesterday, myself and my son, relatively upbeat even if the worst happens.

At best looking at who has come down I think the play offs will be way beyond us even without losing players, so mid table boring season? No thanks.

I'd prefer a bit of turmoil and an against the odds last day relegation survival campaign!

We COULD be in administration yes, but if we sell Obita, McCarthy, McLeary and a few others we could raise £15-20m and be perfectly safe with a much reduced wage bill.

Yeah, selling players is a short term fix. And probably quite hard outside of the transfer window. Plus when people know you're in financial trouble then everything quickly becomes devalued.

What are the tax implications for a club on incoming transfer money?

Sure, we'll need to compete with Fulham, Norwich and Cardiff next season, but on the flip side, we won't need to compete with Leicester, Burnley or QPR.

Norwich could do really well if they sort their act out, as could Cardiff, but I think Fulham have a lot to do.

If we don't lose anyone, a playoff campaign is very achievable.
