Fans sounded a lot louder cheering the goal than I remembered!

Ball from Norwood for the goal gets better with every watch, fair play - didn't appreciate it half as much at the time, the downside of sitting in row 4/5

some really nice football. looks like Colchester had bugger all, we looked neat, tidy and organised, and their keeper had a great evening.
we are notoriously bad against lower league oppo in the cups, so all in all im pretty darned happy with it all

Amazing. Slightly weak finishing, but from that you'd thonk we were all over them and their keeper had a worldy yet it sounded (and from the reports of those there seemingly) terrible.

It's not clear from the video but Colchester keeper Sam Walker had to go off - you can see him waving his hand for treatment after a second half save. He's done his knee in and is likely to miss the rest of the season. He was having a great game until then.

McCleary will play less than 20 league games for us this season, he is too injury prone to rely upon to fix it all for us

Quite. No surprise whatsoever however to see that he managed to play every minute for the Reggae Reggae Sauce in whatever summer tournament it was they excelled in.

I put a bet out there on Twitter with a friend of mine (who knows McCleary) that he wouldn't play more than 20 games for us this season, nevermind 20 league games

He then tweeted back crowing how he'd played 110 games for us in 3 years

10 games in when it becomes obvious he's not achieving and he's dumped to the bench or worse? Pretty much what happened last season bar the injury forcing the issue.

Why don't you lot try getting behind players instead of trying to make your own tiny lives better by slagging off the latest object of your disaffection?

Norwood, regular scapegoat? I think you're seeing things there snowball, he's generally well supported on here IMO.

As for the players you list in comparison to Blackman, only one of them is a forward (who I don't think has played an awful amount during pre-season). Seems a bit odd to defend Blackmans attitude and contribution by comparing him hitting the bar to a centre half who's hardly played not scoring a load of pre-season goals!

Once they're fit, he should never play again.

Joint-top scorer? We've played two games and he's scored one goal ffs. That's as relevant as the League table currently is. You are aware the guy's started over 30 games for us and has featured in many more? Yet scoring in one out of one league games wipes out all history for you? Mental.

We're also averaging 0.5 goals scored per league game and are unbeaten at home all season. Do you see what I did there?
