Stranded If Wales beat Israel on Sunday, we are guaranteed a thread asking how on earth they came to be ranked 4th in the world in the October rankings.

Sanguine Better way of looking at it is 'Wales have the 9th best set of collective results during the last 2 years' (or whatever the qualifying period is).
Admittedly that only makes sense until you actually look at their fixtures during that time, when their best 3 results have been a win and two draws against Belgium. But that just means other teams have had worse results.
Wondering if, from a rankings perspective, we actually suffer for having qualified for the World Cup and then been shit at it.

I think we suffer because of the cost of constructing Wembley and the greed of the English FA trying to milk the public with unnecessary friendlies with high profile countries to pay for the overspend.
Where would Wales be though without Bale or Ramsey though?

double d I don't understand how Romania have gotten so high up the rankings? Can't recall them being in a major tournament for donkeys years or beating anybody of note?

Brosef Stalin The current Irish squad is complete dogshit.
