Royal Lady Well your posts are 60% slagging off Reading, 10% slagging off their fans in fleeces and going to B&Q and 10% are about your married friends not coming out to play anymore and the last 20% is you being racist. :|

All incorrect.

You've lost your touch Miss Marple.

Yep. No problems here though. Who would have though all the way back when we won the ZDS cup we'd have won all the trophies we have since....being the first London club to win the European Cup and the ONLY English club to have won all three European Trophies. 8)

I am watching Chelsea versus Manchester City on Sky Sports One , but the volume is muted....does anyone know where the match is being broadcast from? A superb little stadium, and a wonderful playing surface.

Hoop Blah Just kidding Kes, don't get upset.

Anyway, I'm not sure where you get the idea that nobody can make their mind up about whether he was offside or not.

This shows it pretty clearly.

For my money I think it's possibly too close to call (although not a close as I was remembering it) and be confident of being correct and so the lino possibly should've given the benefit of the doubt to the attacking team. As I've said above though, he obviously didn't have a doubt in his mind and so flagged.

He's been proved right too so should probably be applauded for such a good spot.

That's just after Willian had played the ball - so a split second earlier he was onside. You can see the ball has been passed already.

Off or on, it's so close that you can't blame the official for calling it either way, right or wrong. At full speed he sees it in an instant and makes his judgement call. He called it because he felt sure in that instant.

Chelsea should be good enough not to have to rely on a human making a single borderline decision in their favour to avoid losing a game. They aren't. They're thoroughly mediocre and deserve to be exactly where they are because of it. And it's delightful because of the continuing utter classlessness of the club, players, managers and fans.

You nailed it there Ian!

Yes, they have become the team that we love to hate....as aforementioned....the catalyst of everything that we (the supporters) dislike about the modern game....thanx Mr A

But, they have the players and staff that should be doing better

I hope that they can get back to the days of 11k crowds and scrapping for every point

........it wasn't that long ago

........and people used to like them then

Neither did I.

Actually, I liked then when Zola and Ranieri were around. 2 men who outwardly displayed a love and respect for the game and did things with a smile on their face rather than a sneer.

Yeah, and in their "London Aston Villa" phase, they had a core of good players but some absolute liabilities. Never going to challenge but likely to get a goal of the month contender and a cup run.

I used to like Charlie Cooke and Peter Bonetti.

But other than that, they are the UKIP of football clubs. In pretty much every way.

Mourinho has mentioned Wenger more times in press conferences this season than Chelsea has won games.
