points from 11/12 drop off at the end of this season so if the PL and Serie A achieved the same this year, Serie A would have 4 teams in the CL and the PL would go back to 3 (if I have understood it correctly)

Read a piece yesterday that a 3rd place group stage exit from the CL might be better for our coefficient – United for example might now earn up to 29 coefficient points if they won the Europa League, whereas eliminated at round of 16 in the CL earns a club only 15 points.

Also – any change, if it happens, will be from 2017/18, rankings for next year’s competition are already set.

Massively. The standard is really quite awful. For all the money floating about in the PL, it has no bearing on the end product. Poor, poor, poor.

I don't think it's been totally devoid. It's not been as good as previous, but I still think it's been competitive and refreshing. No-one is forcing you to watch it.

We still have 3 teams in the Champions League, too.

The quality of the football is poor. It shows throughout all 4 tiers & it also shows at international level. Not sure if it's down to the money or what it is but for me, English football is in the poorest state I can remember.
