Maneki Neko Royston drenthe the 2nd
mildly entertaining, and no doubting the potential quality, but I wouldn't want him near the squad next year.
no fight, not bottle, head goes down way too easily.

Forbury LionIf Blackman is the benchmark, then £3m for Ola John seems reasonable.John SmithIan Royal Plenty of potential as a left winger in a 4-4-2 or as a left forward in a 4-3-3 or maybe at the tip of a diamond.
£3 m is way too steep for what he is currently IMO.
Just gonna throw it out here that the 'supposed promotion front runners and proud historic giants of the Championship' Sheffield Wednesday signed their top man Lucas João for around £2m. 'Forces-to-be-reckoned-with-come-title-favourites' Derby County signed Abdoul(lol) Camara for £2m and Nick Blackman for £3m.
My point being that if we want to mix it wiht the 'big boys' then £3m is what we need to be spending. Ola John has done enough for me to show he could be worth that fee.
However, that doesn't mean there are not necessarily better signings to be had, with or without £3m to spend on a winger although you'd hope the scouts/club would have already explored those options and discussed with the manager before making a bid.

Ian Royal Blackman's an awful benchmark. He was English which inflates the price, had just been on a short but excellent run of form and was not good value for money.

Maguire £300k for Ola John and I'd think about it.
£3M for a bloke who couldn't get in the 1st team? rofl

No it's not; it's an example of a club aiming high and buying someone they believed that would get them there and stating the fee paid. His performance beyond the payment is irrelevant to the point being made.
