I'm sure his Celtic supporter Dad is pleased for him.

Given that Celtic are walking away with the league with what amounts to a Championship side, it does make you wonder how much it would actually take for Rangers to make a fight of it.

This the same 'championship' side that very nearly scalped Man City home and away in the champions league ?

Yeah, a bit like the Championship side that nearly scalped Man City in the FA Cup this weekend..

You can't say that Celtic haven't taken huge steps backwards in the last 5 years.

I don't think you can compare a 'big' champions league night live on TV with global audiences with a wintery afternoon in Yorkshire !!

Scottish football is pants for sure but Celtic have proven themselves enough over the years that they can eat from the top table IMHO :)

Celtic have proven themselves over the years, in fact I'd put them on a similar table to other former European champions like Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest.

Sure, they nearly scalped Manchester City twice. They also got scalped themselves by Lincoln Red Imps.

Since Rangers got demoted , Celtic have gone backwards as domestic competition has diminished. Personally, I don't give a shit about Celtic or Rangers, a plague on both houses to be honest, but it's not healthy for anyone to play in such an uncompetitive league and Celtic's European fortunes in the last 5 years seem to bear this out.
