NeilD Just spotted this on the BBC Sports rolling news -
"After FC Zurich forward Raphael Dwamena failed his medical - and with Glenn Murray and Sam Baldock out injured - the top priority for Chris Hughton is at least one striker, but preferably two. His own frontman Tomer Hemed is a target for Reading. The Seagulls are still considering a centre-back and another goalkeeper if good-value late opportunities arise."
Probably just repeated, old news as I cannot see we need him anymore

Leads me to believe either talks with Oliveira's representatives didn't go well or they were a load of made up bull sh1t

I'm inclined to believe the latter.

From Despair To Where? If we end up with Hemed after going for Oliviera it will be like going on Bullseye and winning a Teasmaid when you were aiming for a speedboat.

Hound it would make no sense at all for them to loan him out. They look proper short from what I've seen of their squad

Hound on Football 365
Brighton the big losers
I spent most of this evening refreshing every online football page I could find looking for the latest transfer news about which striker would be signing for the Albion. Four minutes before the deadline I realised that the only fit striker we have after four months of Premier League recruitment is Hemed. The striker Reading kept trying to buy today. Great. I love Championship football.
anyway, flicking through their Forum, looks like he had been told he could go if they brought in other strikers - probably hence why we kept going back in, thinking they would get in Janssen or someone else. Think he is final year of contract, so I suspect we'll be trying again at a much lower price in Jan.

Elm Park Kid Sounds like this could be back on now that Brighton have bought in Ulloa.
