The Reverend
Snowball and any result is good from...

Bolton Wanderers 20:00 Birmingham City

Surely only the draw is good?

19 39 09 12 18 45 57 -12 39 Reading
20 39 09 12 18 34 58 -24 39 Bolton
21 39 10 06 23 29 57 -28 36 Birmingham

So if Bolton win we will be 3, (worst case) 4 or 6 points above Birmingham, vastly better GD with 6 games to go
i.e. four clubs at least below us, six games to go

If Birmingham win that leaves us above Bolton AND Birmingham, on GD even if we lose at Villa

If they draw, also good, and probably (overall) the best result for us, but Home-Draw or Away it's a good result for us

22 39 07 13 19 39 58 -19 34 Barnsley
23 39 06 13 20 42 69 -27 31 Sunderland
24 39 07 09 23 28 70 -42 30 Burton

The Forest v Barnsley game worries me a bit. Forest haven’t scored in a while and have little to play for.

Only result that concerns me is ours. Win our games and the rest is immaterial.

We are highly unlikely to win at places like Cardiff and Fulham and will do well to pick up anything against Preston, Sheff Wed and Villa. We have a tough run in.

Don't see Weds or Preston as especially tough. If Derby can get dicked by Sunderland, we can get a point out of any of them.

Ian we are the underdogs against most sides in the division at the moment. That doesn’t mean we cannot pick up some good results but I wouldn’t put money on it. I think we will stay up but it will only take a couple of defeats for us and just one good result for a couple of teams below us to put us deep into the doo doo.

On what logic?

Preston: last six away

1-4 Lost at Wenesday
2-0 WON at Sunderland
3-1 WON at Bolton
1-1 Drew at Villa
1-1 Drew at Brentford
3-0 WON at Forest

11-7 11 points from six games away, promotion form!

How was QPR's recent away record?

Makes a mockery of snowball giving us 5% chance of beating QPR and (I think) you saying you thought QPR was winnable until their recent big upturn in away form not that long ago doesn't it.

Their last two away results have been impressive but prior to that their away form was poor. This was definitely one of our more winnable games. I thought they played well. We struggled and just about held on. They are still a bottom half team and most of the teams we still have to play are either above us in the League table or well above us. We are the underdogs in most of our games to come.

For that reason I don’t want to rely just on our results. We need those below us to keep losing or at best drawing.

A lot poorer than Preston, just two wins, a draw, three defeats in six games

2-2 Draw Fulham
3-1 WON Villa
1-2 LOST Sheffield United
1-2 LOST Wolves
1-3 WON Burton
0-2 LOST Bristol

8-12 7 Points

No it doesn't. QPR dominated for about 75% of the game
and in terms of quality should have beaten us easily.

27 shots to 5. We had just ONE shot on target.

Luckily we scored a worldy and QPR were poor in front of goal

The 5% chance was totally accurate. It was, essentially, a shock result

I’ve got (what now feels like) a measly 17/2 but can’t believe with our run in we are now 12/1 to go down after fluking a result against QPR, whilst other teams below us actually played really well and picked up point(s) against decent teams at the weekend.

I had the same from William Hill but then managed to cancel my bet
just before Stam was sacked!

Will change dramatically if we lose by a couple at Villa while others win

Oh, and BTW, the weighting (win-lose-draw) was based on STAM being manager.

We would have lost that 0-3 under Stam (if we were lucky)

We fought ten times more under Clement, hence instead of shots
on target we had countless blocks

5 Blocks Moore
4 Blocks Illori
1 Blocks Gunter
1 Blocks Blackett

11 Blocks without searching the rest of the team
