Also thisGood to see the pitch side monitor being used today but.... if the abuse thrown at ref Oliver whist he was walking to and at the monitor is anything to go by no wonder they don’t want to use it.
Palace fans like a pack of animals trying to get at him. Absolute joke.
Although I’m still massively anti-VAR, I’d prefer it if the refs used monitors, rather than some gimp sitting 200 miles away looking at it on a screenOld Man Andrews wrote:Bizarre behaviour, laughable.

Isn't that the same thing, just one gimp is actually at the match and one gimp isn't?URZZZZ wrote:Although I’m still massively anti-VAR, I’d prefer it if the refs used monitors, rather than some gimp sitting 200 miles away looking at it on a screenOld Man Andrews wrote:Bizarre behaviour, laughable.

I agree with Urzzz basic point. Why can't the VAR ref say "I think you need to double check that" if there is concern there is a wrong call or something is missed? The VAR ref keeping his opinion to a minimum, just suggesting there may be an issue or error?Hendo wrote:Isn't that the same thing, just one gimp is actually at the match and one gimp isn't?URZZZZ wrote:Although I’m still massively anti-VAR, I’d prefer it if the refs used monitors, rather than some gimp sitting 200 miles away looking at it on a screenOld Man Andrews wrote:Bizarre behaviour, laughable.

And Danny Murphy said on match of the day it wasn’t a redSimmops wrote:Good decision to give a red card there. Looked horrible on Meyers ankle there.
Danny Murphy is clueless about football.Hendo wrote:And Danny Murphy said on match of the day it wasn’t a redSimmops wrote:Good decision to give a red card there. Looked horrible on Meyers ankle there.is he for real? That’s a red all day long.
Then should’ve been booked for diving...WoodleyRoyal wrote:Stirling blatant red against Ali. Where was VAR. joke of a system

Think Lloris gets his hands out of the way, just in time. But you’re right, it’s either a pen or a yellow for Sterling, it can’t just be a goal kick after that.URZZZZ wrote:I thought Lloris touched himHendo wrote:Then should’ve been booked for diving...WoodleyRoyal wrote:Stirling blatant red against Ali. Either way though, it’s a penalty or a second yellow card for Sterling
I thought the two minute wait for the original decision to be given was pretty stupid too, looked pretty much stonewall from the replayHendo wrote:Think Lloris gets his hands out of the way, just in time. Something can be not a penalty without it being a dive. Sterling was being clever, trying to encourage contact. I think had it not just followed on from a missed penalty the ref gives it all day long.Hendo wrote:Think Lloris gets his hands out of the way, just in time.
