What interests me is that you may read, for example,
UK 384 Cases, 6 deaths but what is not widely-reported
is that just EIGHTEEN are considered recovered.
Worldwide.
119,451 Confirmed Cases
65,972 Recovered
53,479 NOT Recovered
4,635 Deaths
I think this explains why the death-rate is so wildly different
between countries. Germany is only 0.13% (2 People) but of
those confirmed cases only 1% have recovered, as yet
Seems like the death rate of 3.89% in China, 6.22% in Italy might
be nearer the eventual death rate
ATM the UK death rate is 1.57%. Where will it finish?

What have B&Bs got to do with this?

Yeah I saw pictures of armed military on the street in parts of Italy. That must be really surreal to the modern day Italian.Snowball wrote:Ascotexgunner wrote:Is there an "assist" stat with that?Snowball wrote:The Johns Hopkins University site has a daily update,

That comp is over. I've won.
Seriously, a few days ago I started trying to think of how many people I'd been in contact with since Wednesday. Just of the ones I remembered it was a stupidly high amount. The people I went up Etna with have now been, or are in, Catania, Palermo, Sardinia, Rome, London. Barcelona (on his way back to Argentina, and, most importantly Thatcham.
And each of those, people on flights etc.
I had text addresses so gave my Etna contacts a heads-up, that I've had symptoms, so ATM am a possible. The Argentinian guy said Italy is now like a war zone and he'd got out of Sardinia on a ship to Barcelona.
They were queueing to be tested for high temp and the man in front of him in the line was had a high temp and was taken away.
But of course he could easily have infected my Argentinian mate....
(If he wasn't already infected)
Ah yes sorry senior moment, been caught on that one before. But what is racist about my post?.Snowball wrote:You wrote BOARDERS (not borders)karbota wrote:B&Bs? please elucidate.Snowball wrote:

I have read that the death rates in China are likely to be higher because lung health generally starts off pretty poor due to air quality issues plus smoking is more widespread. I would imagine Italy may have some similar factors at play .Snowball wrote:The Johns Hopkins University site has a daily update,

Everything will carry on as normal, it is what we do here.Bonzodog wrote:Merkel has predicted that 60% to 70% of the German population will get Coronavirus. Still surprised here that everything is carrying on as normal other than mass purchasing of toilet rolls and pasta. Will be surprised if we see football played after this weekend.
