I'm assuming this is an auto correct error and you meant to say Port Vale...Sutekh wrote:Danny Loader is now expected to join FC Porto according to the Mail. 3 year deal worth £1m per season apparently. Good for him, hope he makes it.
I assume we will get some sort of settlement for training him as we offered him a contract. Might put another million in the pot.Sutekh wrote:Danny Loader is now expected to join FC Porto according to the Mail. 3 year deal worth £1m per season apparently. Good for him, hope he makes it.

He'll be on loan at Maritimo by Jan.NewCorkSeth wrote:Portugal would be such a nice move if you are a young player. Also judging by how Portuguese clubs seem to get great money for players I can see him leaving in a few seasons for ludicrous money. That or he does a Willock..

Someone tweeted that the other day so it must be true.Nameless wrote:Are you sure ?Hendo wrote:Not for clubs outside the UK.linkenholtroyal wrote: I assume we will get some sort of settlement for training him as we offered him a contract. Might put another million in the pot.
It’s A FIFA. Regulation I believe, certainly within the EFL rules it refers to payment of training compensation under FIFA rules.
Not sure why it would only apply to moves between the 4 separate UK FAs but not to others.
Its a tiny fixed compensation fee under fifa rules isnt it? The FA have a different system. The same thing happened when that kid from Sheffield Wednesday signed for a Belgian club before moving to Leicester to save them the tribunal fee.NewCorkSeth wrote:Someone tweeted that the other day so it must be true.Nameless wrote:Are you sure ?Hendo wrote:

Especially as, before last season, all we knew about him was letting in 5 in THAT game.Notts Royal wrote:Anyone else finding the Martinez love on Twitter a bit too cringy? The bloke only played for us for a few months, and it’s as though he’s an RFC legend & we’ve played a massive part in his FA Cup win. Embarrassing!
