Yep, selling him and getting McCleary on a free was one of the best bits of business we’ve ever done. Antonio’s developed a good eye for goal but he didn’t have the sort of quality we needed. We gave the lad every chance here, he failed, he went elsewhere and succeeded. Good on him.

I guess it shows what you can do when there aren't 4 players better than you in your position already at the club.

He's done well for himself but it doesn't mean we were wrong to grant his request to leave and drop down a division (effectively 2 after we got promoted) in search of first team football.
