Is the bitterness coming from commentators from other countries? Who you talking about? I suspect internationally people were rooting for Denmark because they were the underdog.

Only if you class Scotland and Wales as international.

Not just Scotland and Wales. Reports from France, Italy and Spain that we have cheated our way to the final with Sterling's dive and we're not particularly good. They can all suck it up.

Brogue I’ve always liked Ian Wright as a pundit. But he went to different levels last night. He wasn’t there as a pundit he was there as a fan. What a ledge

He's an utter bellend.

Subtly but darkly suggesting that the reason Sterling didn't get MOTM was because he is black was completely out of order.

6ft Kerplunk
NathStPaul Grealish won us around 7-10 free kicks after coming on, some in dangerous positions. What more did you want?

To play the nice simple ball then move into a position to receive it back more often than keep it, run towards teammates closing down their space and keeping it until he gets fouled.

Fouls which win us free kicks in dangerous positions? Ok, nice one.

Thats his game, it is why top level clubs want him. He is great at holding the ball and creating for teammates. He isn't going to suddenly change that because he is in an England shirt.

Source?

We will find out on Sunday if we are particularly good or not.

In our last two tournaments the teams we've knocked out were Sweden, Columbia, Germany Ukraine and Denmark.

Germany aside, you would say, a country the size of England ought to beat all those teams. Two tournaments in a row England have found a fairly gentle route to the final.

When Germany won the world cup they beat Portugal Algeria France Brazil and Argentina.

France beat Argentina Uruguay Belgium and Croatia. Perhaps a little more gentle than Germany, but still.

If England beat Italy on Sunday who cares, but it would have been quite a kind route to win, the like of which Sven nor Copello never got.

So to an extent, Spain Portugal France have a point. But, if on Sunday England beat Italy, the undoubted best team from their side of the draw, then there is no doubt about England deserving it.

Watching as a sort of neutral I thought the Danes were the better team in the first half, but England improved in the second half. Why the Danes took their best players off then is a bit :o. England probably deserved the win in the end but I would be a bit worried that they didn't actually score from open play. A Danish own goal and a dodgy penalty was what decided the game.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't around that number, don't have the data though to confirm. Seemed like every time he had the ball he was fouled.

Own goal was from open play, and the own goal was caused by an england playing waiting to tap it in. Not sure its fair to say that's not an england goal from open play.

Yeah, if the Danish guy doesn't get a touch Sterling scores that.

You can also flip it round and say that England still haven't conceded a goal from open play.

Plus the advantages given by the referee whilst he had the ball = 7

Just spoke to a Scottish customer who couldn't stop going on about how good it was and how excited he is for the final. He has a massive hangover after being out watching it with mates last night. He said his nation will never do anything and he lives in the south of England so he can either be bitter and take swipes at England or enjoy the moment and get to experience what its like to do well. very refreshing.

You can't really argue with only conceding one goal (and that from a free kick) from Croatia, Czechs, Germany, Ukraine, Denmark

fwiw I don't particularly like our formation and style of play as it is worryingly too much like Reading's formation and play in the first 10 games of last season (in fact it's the exact formation). Clean sheets and ruthless efficiency upfront in shots/goals ratio. But that may tail off quite easily. But the strength in depth of this squad is magnificent

The trouble is people see negative stuff on social media and just assume those thoughts apply across the entire board and encompass the thoughts of an entire country. They don’t.

UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against England after fans shone a laser at Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel during the Euro 2020 semi-final and booed the Scandinavian country's national anthem.
