Varane makes a huge difference to that Utd defence.

He does, but not in the way you’d expect
He had very few touches, interceptions or tackles but his organisation is worth its weight in gold to them

I think Norwich look good to challenge Derby's record. Their next 4 games are Brentford, Southampton, Wolves and Newcastle. No wins from that run and it's looking like a humiliating season ahead.

To be fair it’s looking like a humiliating season before that lot.
Derby fans must be writing letters to Santa

Red card wrong way around IMO

Not sure Konsa should have gone but agreed that Hause should have been off

Reminds me, I meant to post after the Spurs game last night.

Fred’s challenge when he was booked was preceded immediately by a challenge that was a booking in its own right. Wouldn’t have changed the result, but wh6 wouldn’t that be a yellow for each ?

Arguably should have been, albeit I don't think VAR intervenes for yellow card offences, even if they are second bookings.

I wasn’t thinking of VAR to be fair.

Lovely finish from Jimenez. Everton have been absolutely shocking so far.

If I were Benitez I would be straight on the phone with my Saudi mates, he is doomed at Everton. It was never ever going to work.

Spurs have failed to register a shot on target in their last two games and now approaching four hours of football. Which feels like it should be some sort of record.

They hit the bar though which is progress of sorts. I think Conte's initial focus was always going to be their defence and keeping it tight. They have enough going forward to score goals, just need that solid base first.

And there were some who said them being the first team in Europe to hit 100 goals last season wasn’t an achievement

Kane is a shadow of the player he was. Value has dropped alarmingly since the summer
