Points total this season with and without Pauno

by blythspartan » 17 Feb 2022 17:46

How many points do you believe we’ll end up with this season with or without Pauno in charge for our remaining 15 games?

With
W1 D3 L11 - 29

Without
W5 D4 L6 - 42

What a ‘pointless’ thread

I think we can be fairly confident that VP will be staying until the end of the season, so I don't think we get any points without him.

If we can just get some confidence and a bit of passion and fight, we might start turning this around. I'm actually hopeful we pick up.

Let's focus on the positives, we've scored 5 goals in our last two home games.

Ok I’ll go first.

I’m positive you’re a twat.

Maybe Wednesday can be seen as a step-forward in respect to the result improving, but it doesn't really reflect well when we managed to draw against Peterborough, who were better than us for the majority of the game.

Unfortunately, as it is, we will go down with Pauno in charge that's for sure.

Only thing to say about that is their home form is actually quite decent for a team in 22nd, their away form is absolute garbage though.

Posh are clearly a weaker team than us.

But they're also a team who started the season expecting a fight. And they are fighting. And they have a game plan.

They won't pick up many points. But you can see them sneaking draws and the odd win here and there.

We have no direction, no ideas and we performances are insipid. I can't see where we get more than a tiny handful of points.

I'm actually taking it as a positive that we got battered on Wednesday and held on for a clean sheet and a point. How often have we crumbled under such pressure this season (disregarding the comparative quality within the opposition)? We had chances to win it as well.

Preston away is an absolute shitter of a fixture to follow up with so that might ruin us, but we're not dead yet.

For those reasons we probably won't end up much better off than Peterborough either.

As it is at the moment, I can't see either ourselves or Peterborough reaching 40 points (or Barnsley). But I also can't see 3 teams going down with less than 40 points when you're usually somewhere around the 45 points mark give or take.
