I see Rother is slating Joao again despite the guy scoring our goal, and his record of 31 in 76 in his time here.

oxf*rd end product.

Millsy I refuse to make any comment about Ejaria playing pushing our form up, and him not playing costing us because it will upset the usual suspects.

On the other hand, Ejaria was a big part of a hugely disappointing climax to last season, a mainstay in the XI, delivering little. Course, you can debate how his presence opens up space elsewhere but can’t think of too (m)any goals we’ve scored because of that

Feel the Ejaria talk is the new Gunter debate in that people seem to double down on one side because of the reaction of other people. The reality is that he’s bang average

I wonder what the opposition players think when a player comes on? If you were Cardiff how worried would you be seeing Azeez come on, or Barker? Compare that to Ejaria who they will have known all about and probably played against before.

Yep. Ejaria should have come on yesterday. I do think the opposition would have been more concerned if he came on.

Would like to see Clarke on the bench but don’t recall him featuring for a while. Really dislike not having a CF on the bench, 66% of our outfield players covered the three spots behind the striker

I wonder if Clarke is injured.

Aren’t you just doing exactly that with your last comment?

Not in great form certainly and been up and down but bang average? Certainly wouldn’t describe him as that

Yeah, there's absolutely nothing average about Ejaria.

Well that was pretty disappointing to come away nothing considering we were in front and the teams directly below us lost, bar Peterborough. In such a winnable fixture, it would have been nice to extend our lead and all but guarantee safety ahead of Easter. It was a disappointing second half performance and we definitely needed to finish off our chances as we had enough of them to be out of sight, that's what you get in this league though.

Some solace that none of the bottom 3 won and they now all require 3 wins with us losing all of our last 5 games to survive. Anything against Sheff United next Friday is a bonus, a win and that will be enough.

You think? Not sure I’d describe him as up and down, but of course each to their own. Think he’s constantly performing at around a 6/10 level, which isn’t far off the definition of average. Almost the same comments every game, I.e works hard - neat and tidy ish on the ball but little in front of goal. Can’t recall many stand out games he’s had this season (Fulham A being one) but likewise (m)any stinkers

@Hound - possibly but there’s a constant to and fro with Ejaria almost every game when personally think he performs at a similar level most games. Appreciate others may see it differently though but it is a common trait of people to go harder on players who supposedly have “fan boys” (and vice versa)

I guess. I can see an argument his contribution is distinctly average, but to me what he does any given moment seems to be either great or poor. Frequently starting great and ending poor in the same passage of possession of the ball.

Which I think it's fair to say may be a trigger of mine.

But I'm just bored of watching him pull off some sublime control, nutmeg a guy, beat another and then fall over his own feet or cross / shoot straight at the opposition.
