NathStPaul Sort of game where we should get dicked but will probably end up winning 0-1.

Had a few of those this season:

Fulham
Swansea
Preston
Bournemouth

Would be tempted to match them up and go with a back five. Rahman in for Swift and push McIntyre inside. Possibly Ejaria for Hoilett/Ince

Sheffield don’t give much away in terms of chances so we need to break the trend of giving away cheap goals. Thought they were really poor when they came down here (we were even worse) but they’ve been much better since, particularly at home so anticipating a tough one here

No, those are games we should get dicked and did. Also wouldn't really call Blackburn away (0-2) a dicking.

I think a dicking can only apply to a 3-0 and up. I will consult the Dicking council.

Thought you were already chairman? etc...

Generally agree though, anything more than 3-0.

Millsy We're not a relegation side - come on Reading!

I think the league table tells us otherwise.

This squad was put together to reach the PL, hence the cost, hence the deduction, hence the table (which still has us 8 points off it).

We're where we are because of that and one of the worst managers in the history of the club.

The remaining squad is still extremely strong and we should be doing much better.

This isn't some team made up of Bodins, Rasiaks, Gurneys, etc

No reason we can't win pretty much any game coming up.

YorkshireRoyal99 I can't see anything but a Sheff United win, we haven't tended to do too well against them home or away in recent years either. Possibly an opportunity to break that cycle though on Friday and I didn't expect us to get anything against Bournemouth either.

I know this obviously doesn't happen, but would rather us throw our eggs in the basket against Swansea at home as that seems the more likely place where will get something, despite their good form.

I think there will be less pressure on the players to go there and get something. Sheff Utd have been pretty average recently. Not scoring many but not conceding either. Think we have a shout at a point,

I’m normally hopelessly optimistic as my user name suggests, but I can’t see us getting anything but a 3-0 beating up on Friday afternoon from a not very happy hunting ground. I will instead be pinning my hopes on Swansea and Fulham wins and a Blackburn draw which is much more realistic, and a bit like Saturday we all carry on circling the chairs waiting for the music to stop but with only 4 games to go!

I have also predicted a 3-0 win for Sheffield United as well funnily enough.

As suggested, lets just hope that the 3 aforementioned sides can do us a favour tomorrow as well, that would help us. Even if we don't win any of our next 2 games, if none of the others do then that would be a big blow to them. The last thing we want is one of those teams below us gaining 3+ points on us over this short period of time.

Silver Fox Is 21st a relegation place now?

Relegation side generally means sides in a relegation fight who may get relegated.

Currently we're on the cusp of that. Two weeks ago we were right in it.

Imo.

You know those don't invalidate the existence of their first four right?

Halilovic in for Swift could work quite well actually. If he finds form. Don't expect him to start, but he's more like for like than anyone else imo.

Ince has said today that Swift isn’t as injured as they initially thought and has an outside chance of being involved tomorrow.

Does ince get a little bit emotional with these injury diagnoses?

Certainly be good to have Meite, Swift and AH part of the last set of games anyway

He sounded very rattled after the Cardiff defeat so probably accentuated the negatives

He's also seen the state we were in when he arrived.

Could be mind games. Get the oppo to think about how to combat the wrong players and maybe get complacent.

Get the fans some surprise positive news going into a tough game after a disappointing defeat to lift the mood ahead of it.
