Forest in advance talks with Jesse Lingard and are willing to smash their wage structure to get him.

They clearly appear to be going down the shit or bust route to PL recruitment. If they stay up, then they'll be OK, if they go down esp. as Lingard will be wanting upwards of 100k pw (some reports saying he wants 180k and could get that abroad) - then they could be in a world of pain if they drop.

Unless Tierney keeps getting injured?

But yes, he and Odegaard could be really good together.

The fact that Lingard hasn't found a club despite being publicly on the market for the last year should tell him all he needs to know about his wage demands.

Nautrally, but he'll end up getting more than he's proably worth.

Winston Biscuit Zinchenko to Arsenal for £30m

Great deal for Arsenal on the face of it.

A fair deal if he plays left midfield; a bad deal if he plays left-back.
One of a long line of left-backs at City not up to standard.

Harsh on Zinchenko. Has always looked capable when he's played. Would walk into most Prem sides at LB.

Poor defensively IMHO (as are most full-backs in the Premier League tbf).

He’s better in midfield but still decent enough at LB IMO.

Looks like this is done. Just a 1 year deal. If 180k pw is accurate, with no fee this will cost Forest around 15m and they can part ways next summer. Might not actually be that bad a deal.

Without knowing the ins and outs of the situation, looks like a really poor decision from Lingard to join Forest over West Ham, especially if he wants to break back into the England squad

His form for West Ham was excellent and it’s an opportunity to play in Europe again (albeit the conference league) which he may not get the chance to do again. Can’t see a single reason to join Forest (other than the £ of course)
