Stranded
Sanguine Crikey. Willian to Fulham.

Interesting move, he is 34 now, so will be interesting to see if he is anything like the player he was.

Is in essence to replace another new signing, as Manor Solomon is out for months, at least, with a knee injury.

Fabrizio Romano calling Gibbs-White to Forest done.

45m apparently.

Forty. Five. Million.

Casemiro has reportedly told Real Madrid that he wants to join the Circus. Sorry, did I say Circus? I meant Man United.

It might be a circus, but that would be a very good signing.

Liked what I saw of him last season albeit in a lower league. That is a hell of a lot of money though, paying for potential.

In theory, definitely. Big Makelele leaving vibes for Real Madrid.

Then again, United have had years and years of players who were going to be "very good" signings and didn't turn out that way.

Career has seriously stalled from the moment Dortmund signed him permanently - had that amazing record off the bench when on loan there but struggled more once a perm signing and when Haaland signed was surplus. Not really happened at Villareal but surprised he's heading there on loan - can only assume there was no other interest.

Ancelotti confirms Casemiro is joining Manchester United. Like Varane, a great signing in theory for United. Big blow to Real with only Tchuoameni to replace him.

Casemiro is a cracking signing for United. Annoyingly good.

"Easy" add-ons apparently. A lot based on x million after 10 games and so on.

Good on Forest for having a go.
The antithesis of Norwich getting promoted and pocketing the TV money with no ambition at all.

The position with Forest has been extreme because of the number of loan players that they had last season.

I guess the argument is that Fulham gave it a go, spent £100m and were terrible.

Sure there is a balance between the two approaches, but Forest were in a bit of a forced position with the loans they had.

Yeah, I mean, tbf this falls into my demanded category of players moving for the football (i.e. experience the Premier League, plug a much needed gap in the United side). But seems a really odd one, he's first choice at Real.

Does it really make that much difference when you factor in all the sponsorship money they get on top of wages anyway?

Trying to be fair to him, he has maybe 6-7 years left of a career which allows him to live in pretty any any country he chooses, after that his options will begin to get limited and if he opts out of coaching/managing then a few years on and his options are even more limited. Maybe he knows this and just wants to experience things now while it's easy to do so.

I can also appreciate that winning the same things with the same team over and over could lose some of its appeal.

I know he's a very good player but really not sure he's the right fit for Utd's needs right now.

Another individual who lacks the pace to press.

Still, maybe it'll give the opportunity for Fred to play in a more advanced position, where apparently he has been superb for Brazil of late.
