genome What's the culprit here? Klopp too loyal to certain players when out of form?

Orion1871 Interesting to see TAA running after the ball and being given offside despite not touching the ball...

Royal Rother Brighton are a great team to watch. But Liverpool today, Dear oh dear, they were terrible.
To early of course, but recent games have looked like a potential changing of the guard. City, Liverpool and Chelsea all to one degree or another looking like fading forces.

Orion1871 After Everton fans shot fireworks at Southamptons hotel the night before yesterday's game, The Saints leave some Hotel feedback.

From Despair To Where? I think Liverpool's problems this pseason run a little bit deeper than a few injuries up front and so do a lot of my Liverpool supporting friends.
Most think the midfield is either past it or not good enough.

There could well be a changing of the guard however in terms of Liverpool and City there are IMHO extenuating circumstances.
If you were to take these front 4 players out of Arsenal and Spurs we might expect them to struggle to win games:-
Saka, Nketiah, Jesus, Martinelli
Kane, Son, Moura, Kulusevski
In Liverpool's case yesterday these front 4 players were out:-
Diaz, Jota, Firminho, Nunez
Nobody knows if they would still have lost at Brighton, who I expect to make the top 6 this season, and I take the point made by another poster about their midfield, but the team has been severely weakened with these unavailable as well as the player who, up until this season, was considered by some to be the best centre-back in world football.
As for City losing the following has had an impact on their defence:-
Dias, Stones, Laporte, their 3 main central defenders
None of these clubs warrant sympathy but Arsenal, Man Utd and Newcastle have had a generally injury-free run of late whereas the 3 clubs mentioned haven't and injuries do obviously affect stability and performance.
