I’m sure some half-time £ visits to the referees room will ensure Manchester gets its ‘levelling-up’

This season is pretty mental. Liverpool are 19 points off Arsenal  and 11 off Utd at the halfway stage

Man City must play with that intensity for the rest of the season.

Going back to slow motion semi-complacent football can’t happen if they are going to catch Arsenal.

Spurs need to go big for a GK. Lloris costs them time and time again. He’s had his time, and it’s up. Not a fan of Conte as a person and enjoy watching him lose but didn’t think he got much wrong tonight. Their defence (and GK) is just so poor. To put into perspective, they’re having to choose Royal or Doherty as RWB and likewise Perisic and Sessegnon as LWB

City looked much better in the second half. Really rate Mahrez but the inconsistencies in his performances must be so frustrating as a City fan

Is Emerson Royal the worst player in the prem (defo worst in his position)?

Who is Spurs backup keeper? Surely he's got to be worth a go at this point.

Fraser Forster

They should go for Illan Meslier (before Chelsea do!).

They definitely need a new GK for sure, I'd dare say go for Martinez at Villa but his Arsenal connections might not be the best from the fans point of view when tensions between the fans and board are at boiling point already.

I've never really rated Meslier, although I'm probably biased because I hate Leeds. But, even though I actually think he's had a far better season than previously, I still don't think he makes that many good saves, or even saves that other GK's would do. He's not the worst in the PL by any means, I just think he's overrated, but that's mainly by Leeds fans who believe all their best players are better than sliced bread, then move on and then claim they rinsed the opposition as they were never that good anyway (Phillips).

In commentary they said that Spurs are looking to bring in another right/wing back.
How many do they need?
They have Emerson and Doherty and spaffed £20 million or so on Djed Spence and never play him.

BTW how Spursy were they last night?
You don't concede 4 goals in a half if you have pretentions of being a top 4 team especially having been 2 up.

Tyler made a point about Kane-would a player prefer to be trophy-less in his career but be a club's top all-time goalscorer than perhaps winning a League Cup and being just a good goalscorer (the second bit is my addition not Tyler's).

It's obvious they've just wasted quite a lot of money on Doherty, who is pretty below average for where they want to be and Emerson Royal is just a disaster waiting to happen. Spence hasn't really had a chance, but I think it says something if Conte prefers both of those instead of Spence, maybe he just isn't cut out for the level. I'd say they probably do need another wing back, but they need a few players really.

I think you've got to go back in time really to when Kane signed a new deal. He'd have probably been talked into the club making progress, going for trophies and he'd have probably thought that the club could win trophies, to be fair, they potentially still could win a trophy despite the obvious meme against them, it's not like they aren't capable.

I have disliked them for 50 years but I think Meslier is very good (and still only 22).

Mind you, I've warmed to Leeds in the last couple of years - usually produce entertaining games as they rarely sit back, generally preferring to "have a go" no matter the opposition.

Have you seen Guardiola's post match interview and presser?

Don't often see a manager lay into his players like that. Mourinho would be proud of him.

Now let's see if it has the desired effect!

Didnt think it was too bad - but hard hitting Guardiola style. More damning of his own fans. I think the booing is what got the reaction at the end of the game. But basically accusing them of being silent, Spurs so much better etc etc - I am sure the fans will get behind him because a) he was right and b) he is the messiah

Burnley 19 points clear of 3rd place. 7 points behind where we were after 28 games in 05/06 though

Lol @ Shef Utd potentially getting another huge points total but coming 2nd again
