Next 13 Games

by Royal_jimmy » 26 Feb 2023 12:16

Got a tough run coming but now we are nearly safe hopefully we'll see us have more of a go at teams.

How do you think we'll do? I'll go for 14 points so we finish with 58. I can see us having a good run after these next 2 and then not winning any of the last 5 as Ince plays more youngsters and we play teams battling to stay up.

Middlesbrough (A) - loss
Sheff Utd (H) - loss
Millwall (H) - draw
Blackburn (A) - draw
Hull (H) - win
Bristol City (A) - draw

Think we'll go W4 D4 L5. So 16pts and finish with a decent 60.

If we somehow get a win out of the next 2, then I think we'll see a major shift to more attacking football in a death or glory charge however.

Be great to finish the season well and with that last four it's certainly possible we could exit with two or three wins from them. Though the realist in me expects one at most.

17 points I'm going for optimistically there anyway, leaves us on 61.

I don't know if I could predict this, I feel once we hit that magical 50pts, Ince may change up the way we approach away games and we ironically might actually start picking up away wins, as for our impressive home form, I think that will keep up but we'll probably fail to beat both Burnley and Sheffield United, think they're too far above us.

Decent chance we beat Burnley but lose to Brum and Wigan given how bonkers we are.

Well according to the latest projections by the Twentf First Group, we now have a 1% chance of making the play-offs and a 1% chance of going down - so sod it lets fo 2-3-5 for the rest of the season and just look to outscore everyone.

I can't help feel that would significantly change the percentages, but not in the way you intend.

Pah! Football is cyclical, so lets just take it back to the 1920s.
