..... bit of a mixed bag for our 'local' NL sides tonight (Tue 7th March) : 1-0 defeats higher up the Pyramid (STEP01) for both Maidenhead & Woking - 'Cards' beaten in stoppage time at Oldham.
Dorking W bt Barnet 2-1

In NATN both Brackley and Banbury suffered defeats.

The Southern section saw Slough pick up a much needed win 2-0 at Concord to stay 6 pts clear of trouble though Hampton & R. Cheshunt and Chipp'num, just below them all won - Farnborough, Hungerford & Oxford C drew at home vs Welling, Dartford and Braintree respectively - the latter pair of results quite commendable points vs clubs in 2nd and 3rd.
Leaders Ebbsfleet bt 5th placed Worthing {SEVEN} 7-2

SL-P covered above... in One Central Didcot were held 1-1 by Aylesbury Utd

In Basingstoke's division (IL1-SC) Marlow ran out comfortable winners 3-0 at home to Westfield to stay 4th; Binfield got a creditable draw at 3rd placed Northwood and Thatcham were edged out 2-3 by Chipstead - Medford-Smith with another goal for the 'Kingfishers'.

That is not true and know that for a fact. Tight budget, community club, no significant backer. They are no Bracknell or Leatherhead etc.

They just need to keep going, with everything pointing to the Walton match - what an occassion that will be and probably a good 400 away fans will make the trip. They are now entering into a tough run of matches now. Next 3 matches pivotal for both clubs before they play each other with each team playing others who have aspirations for the play off. Imperative Basingstoke win the league, wont fancy them in the play off and i think they will then slide backwards again. Need to keep the momentum whilst positive talks are on-going about stadium plans.
