Winston Biscuit Seems weird that our season ends in 14 days time yet there are teams in the PL with 8 games to go, and 1 team with 9 games left, which is almost a quarter of a season

Even more weird that the Champ play-off final is not until nearly the end of June when some teams will be about to come back for pre-season training.

It said June on the radio just now-May does seem more likely.

It might be the angle but it looks as though the keeper could have jumped and caught the ball.

I think it is probably the angle. The 2nd replay (23s into the video), looks like it is way too high for him to catch.

I would file that GOTS under 'hopeful shot from distance as the keeper is off his line'

Yes serves me right for not watching the whole thing.

Can absolutely guarantee there were far better goals scored in the EFL this season though. Also really annoys me they do these awards now when the season isn't over. Surely it could wait a few weeks?

Remember Michael Owen (for what it's worth) saying that basically all long range goals are hit and hope, and if it goes in you're just lucky.

They look good but solo efforts and great team goals are always much better.

Not keen on free kicks winning either because, despite the undoubted skill involved, its a situation that can be practiced and rehersed.

In a,similar vein, anyone see Liam Scales' goal for Aberdeen at the weekend? Given the positioning of Miovski and Duk, that was clearly a mishit cross.

I love nothing more than an outside the box volley that rattles in off the crossbar. Think my favourite ever was Tony Yeboah v Wimbledon.
