Selles in.

Probably a revolutionary idea amongst HNA members but how about giving the guy a chance before hounding him out the door?
I`m certainly going to do that, be aware he could be working with a squad consisting of many of the U21s.

I`m optimistic this thread will outlive the usual (add name)out thread that we`ve had for the last umpteen managers since McDermott.

Nah, we're definitely hounding him out even if he wins his first 10 on the bounce.

Absolutely not my first choice but can see the logic in his appointment.

It needs to have been Bowen’s choice and he needs to be allowed at least some time to stabilise and move forward

Obvs got my doubts on both there but if it is the case then he can be a success

Really wouldn’t read too much into the Soton thing. He actually did ok against some of the bigger teams though

He's won me over through the clubs incompetence.

He said yes to joining our sh*t show so I’ll support him for now. If he can turn us into a team challenging for a playoff spot this season he’ll deserve a medal.

DID YOU KNOW: Ruben Selles is the son of former Blackburn, Newcastle and Bolton star Scott Sellars.

Would you accept a job offer from an owner who lies?

It;s a ridiculous and very disappointing move, as was Ince, as were so many who this joker of an Owner employed but it is what it is. Once he's in, he's in, and I'll support him, wish him well of course and genuinely hope he proves us wrong. Struggling to see any positives at the moment but I'm sure he'll say something nice, win a game eventually and give us something to cling to and build on. The only thing I can see at the moment is that he has a palindromic surname. That's got to count for something, surely.

With the state we are in currently, what clearly better manager would want to come here?

If he's the best candidate, then either the ones with a better CV were pricing themselves out of the job (or making other demands), or there weren't any with a noticeably better pedigree.

This is sadly true. What looks to be yet another disappointingly cr@p managerial appointment that will drive a few more fans into believing the club is a real embarrassment that they don't want to be associated with. Really don't understand what it is with the club continually appointing a succession of monumentally awful managers that a lot of fans called out as being monumentally awful at the time they were appointed. The idiots at the club still don't see that this type of managerial appointment DOES NOT work and now it's all the club can realistically get.

Very good luck to him though, hope I'm completely wrong in this instance and that he proves to be the second coming.

Well, I'm pretty happy with him but appreciate after the courting of Wilder for the last month, that others may be underwhelmed.

Highly spoken off and should have learnt quite a lot from his time at Soton. May well go to pot quickly as most of our appointments do these days but has a good chance of being a very successful coach.

You're happy with everyone to start with though. So that's not exactly a ringing endorsement.

As long as he beats Oxford x2 this season that’s all that matters.

Luckily my view means jackshit when it comes to appointments. I wasn't happy with Ince but I will always give people the benefit of the doubt until it goes tits up.

Apparently been watching training but not taken a session yet. The club supposedly waiting to learn possible sanctions before making a formal announcement. That doesn't sound like he's signed yet, as was reported by the ex Chronical jouno last week.
