As i suggested a few weeks ago the International cup is now expanded with 16 PL 2 teams and 16 foreign teams in 4 groups of 8. The PL 2 teams play each of the foreign teams only in their group- top 2 in each group go forward to the QF’s.
All matches throughout the comp are played in England.
3 other PL 2 teams in our group are Notts Forest, Wolves and Spurs.

The Royals U 21’s play their 1st PL 2 match of the season tonight away to Middlesborough KO 7pm. The match is actually taking place 25 miles from Middlesborough at Heritage park the home of Bishop Auckland FC.

Given the EFL Trophy game tomorrow I'd say a number of the regulars will be omitted.

From a first glance: Sackey; Borgnis; Akande; Okine-Peters; Wellens seem to be the ones missing (not counting those who've been in the first team squad for the league games). Don't know if any of them are injured.

Sounds like Reece Evans has signed. No idea re who Maddox McMillan is - as you say maybe a triallist? But has anyone any idea who Kai Garratt and Kai Source are? The only Kai Garratt I can find plays/played for Dover.

We do need to beef up the U21 with so many games this season and so assume these are new or potentially new players.

The 3 players on bench apart from Norcott are all U18s.

Not too many of the "known" u21s for Reading, probably unsurprising given the club's stupidity of organising the west ham game for tomorrow. But only 4 subs for some reason
