Wonder what the fee is. No mention of a fee at all in the article.

Shame but inevitable in our situation. In another world he would've signed an extension in the summer and we'd be looking to take him up to the Championship with us.

I am told it was around £850,000 which if true is a great bit of business. But doubt we'll ever know.

Deserves his chance at a club in the premier league, his development with us has been outstanding.

We've managed a decent deal out of this I think. We were unlikely to get a new contract out of him given his talent and performances plus gets some money in. Heard the fee was nearly £1m, great business if so. Hopefully a 10-20% sell on clause too.

£850k isn't bad for a league one player, let alone one with 5 months left on his contract if that is close to the fee.

He reminded me of a young Alan Hansen on Saturday, so composed for someone just turned 20.

That really is a good deal for us, not going to lie. Not happy to lose Bindon but he was never going to stay with the mess we're in. Hopefully we still have a club to enjoy any sell on windfall we do get!

The sell-on clause is important.

Forest is an excellent move for him - although with the form they're in it may take him a while to get into the first team, he has the ability to make it, and to go further.

He was always going to be much too good for us, and would have left on a free. As it is, money plus sell on plus getting him back for the season. I can't see any practical way it could have been better.

I will watch his career with interest; he seems like a lovely lad and I wish him well.

I dunno, the being in league 1 of it all maybe, but I don’t think the financial situation has much bearing. Even if we were fully solvent and signing players I think he’d still have gone now to prevent the summer walk. Just a product of being a lower league club with a young talent above our level.
