Knibbs MoM for me. He put in an incredible shift and made vital long recovery runs on several occasions. I'd love to see how many Km he covered during the game.

katweslowski Few thoughts:

2) Club1871's contingent which adjoins the away fans are oxf*rd bellmonts. Birmingham threw a flare but our fans are not blameless. I saw about 20 at least jumping all over the barriers, throwing things, egging them on etc. I'm sick of idiots like this - usually at away games but at home in the bigger games
.

Agreed. It was quite obvious what was in the minds of those who made sure they got as close to the Bluenoses as they could. Club should use CCTV from today to weed a few of them out. We may be skint but we'd still be better off without them if they're going to behave like that.

PieEater Just to add - I think they need to do something about head injuries. Cochrane held his head and faked a head injury at every opportunity, and remarkably recovered when Brum could break. I think the ref needs to show some concern and after 3 feigned injuries and send them off to get assessed for their own safety.

This has been going on for ages. Problem is it’s usually a sure fire way to stop the game.

Players without a head injury who hold their head should get a yellow card if the ref believes they’re trying to game it.

Honestly thought something would happen when I saw the lack of segregation in Club 1871.

The club should be reducing the amount of space in Club 1871 after every incident.

The overfocus on that area is also why the rest of the ground usually looks so empty.

Observations…

Birmingham must have had a long journey, given the time they spent lying down.

Kelvin is a better winger than number 9.

Wareham was excellent when he came on, won more in the air than “Big Kelv” and held the ball up better.

Campbell is average and seems utterly disinterested. Would rather we played Akande

Garcia had the best game I’ve seen from him, I liked the way he brought the ball centrally.

Very happy with a point.

Campbell is mediocre trending shit. Waste of a position.

Football clubs have some followers who are idiots. This is true now and always has been. Wouldn’t waste any effort worrying about it

Yeah it’s an easy bit of cheating and ref has to stop the game

And as said by someone above - Ref had a very decent game. Can’t think of anything he got wrong

I think I had a couple of little moans during the game but even if they were justified, everyone makes a few mistakes. He certainly got nothing major wrong.

Do the ARs on the West (posh) Stand side get paid more? They always seem to be better than those that end up on the East Stand side! Yesterday was another case in point when the guy on the East Stand side struggled to keep up with play and barely managed to run the line, let alone provide any assistance to the man in the middle. I was pleased to get to half-time at 0-0 because we had the guy on the West Stand checking for Bluenose offsides in the second and were more likely to get away with offsides ourselves in the second half.

As for Campbell, maybe I'm in a minority but I thought he played OK yesterday and, like the rest of the team, worked really hard. I can't see our current management team selecting anyone who doesn't work hard, regardless of what other attributes that player might have.

Lots of moans coming from the Brums fans regarding the state of our pitch, NH says it costs up to £1400 to keep the lights on at night, and we quite simply don`t have the money.

It's a while since I've been able to watch a game, so not seen Campbell's recent performances, but recent criticism reminds me of the start of the season.

He's the sort of winger who mostly doesn’t seem to do anything much exciting, but still get a good goal and assist return over a prolonged period, with very occasional moments of magic.

They're in L1 ffs. Why do they expect to be playing on a bowling green

Yep and we’re not all rolling in stupid amounts of spare money. They may have noticed we’ve a few issues on the financial side

Are there really no other pitches in League 1 as bad or even worse than ours ? Or do they only moan about the pitches when they aren't gifted 3 points?

Big drop in work rate, just doesn't seem as on it as before January.

I don’t think he wants to be here.

I don’t think he wants to be here.

Which would be a bit bizarre seeing as he only just rejoined us a month ago.

Not especially. Maybe he was told there wasn’t a place in Wolves squad and this was his only option. Maybe he thought he’d done enough to get a better loan in a championship club.

Either way he’s not putting in a shift.

I only watched the first half on tv, but I thought he was decent too. Having said that, if he had been able to finish, it might have been a different story. He probably had 3 good chances. 2 headers and a shot
