Brogue Quite surprised by that. But a good opportunity for him. I’m sure we will replace him well.

Would imagine Hunt et al will have known for a while that he intended to go and work with Mason if he got the WBA job - expect he was on a pretty low wage and only really came in to help out a mate.

Expect there are already irons in the fire about a replacement. Imagine it will be someone Hunt knows - so perhaps an old team mate at club or international level.

Perhaps I overestimated the power of the new owners, but I'm surprised we haven't announced any OOC players signing the dotted line yet.

Just an observation. Not "Couhig Out".

Could be a number of reasons - some will have declined naturally, others will have indicated that they will sign but have been/are on holiday at the moment.

If the Wing announcement is anything to go by, I would anticipate the club will want to release stuff with interviews etc. or, at least the usual contract signing photo - hard to do if a player is in Dubai or wherever.

I assume that the comms team have been off all weekend. Maybe we’ll start getting news this week?

What's Adi Viveash doing at the moment?
Did a great job at Coventry with Mark Robins + Reading connection.

Just to add a different voice, I’m hearing Pereira hasn’t signed yet, Wareham hasn’t signed yet, Couhig hasn’t been in the country but will be over very soon.

Not sure, but I doubt that would be a necessity to get it done.

Couhig confirms EFL approval still needed for renewals. Explains a lot.

Royalwaster Perreira signed new contract

Do you have a source that says this all the media I’ve seen says he “looks set to sign”.

Should be a formality apparently but until the FL approve things it’ll all be stuck in limbo

Really don’t get the need for FL to approve things, either they trust the new owners or they don’t. And what are they going to do anyway, start interfering in individual deals at some clubs while letting deals at other clubs, who maybe in dodgy positions, go through with no interference? Either ALL member club’s contract/transfer dealings should be vetted in the same way or none at all.

Charlton, QPR, Preston and Watford apparently. We'll do well to keep him. All pretty badly run clubs right now who could easily get relegated next season, but ultimately can offer a higher division and better wages. Argue Charlton most appealing as on an upwards trajectory, compared with the other 3 meandering along.

Just a reminder as to where we are currently

Name (age at end of contract)

Contracted until 2026
Kelvin ABREFA (20)
Ben ELLIOTT (23)
Harvey KNIBBS (27)
Emmanuel OSHO (19)

Contracted until 2027
Charlie SAVAGE (24)

Contracted until 2028
Lewis WING (33)

Plus we are rumoured to have re-signed Wareham and Pereira but no detail as to length of deals as yet. Still a fair way to go as yet.

Good news on Pereira. I hope we don't have a big turnover of players as they often mean a slower start whilst they take time to gel.

Bit of a different angle via PNE link.
Can only hope the deal is with us.
