Rob Edwards confirmed as Middlesbrough boss. Interestingly* he's named Adi Viveash as one of his assistants. Don't think he's worked since leaving Coventry in slightly mysterious circumstances a year ago.

Nothing mysterious, believe I saw somewhere that Adie said he just fell out with Mark Robins, nothing serious (believe they're still good mates) he just felt that after so long his thoughts on the way forward has started to drift away from Mark's vision somewhat (and ultimately perhaps that's also why Fwank is now manager at Coventry).

just checked in with my brentford supporting colleague. he said its a bit of a concern but there is generally a feeling of 'trust in Benham' so they will just get behind whoever takes over without questioning it to much

he did say though that the general chat is that as long as someone with a little more experience is assistant manager or one of the coaches then it will have a better feel to it, but now Damian Duff is believed to be KA's preferred assistant people and he is wondering WTF they are doing

Andrews coached under Wilder at Sheff Utd and Duff has just resigned from Shelbourne after 4/5 successful years there managing them to their first Irish title in 20 years or so last season.

Duff has also reportedly slagged off English clubs for not sufficiently taking Irish players and clubs seriously.

What could go wrong?

They’ll still finish above Utd.

The second half of their season is a study in total failure. 1 goal scored in 12 games, at one point they had lost 16 out of 17. 9 consecutive home defeats without scoring. Was only home wins in May over their two fellow relegated sides that gave RvN a little (very little) respectability on the way out.
