Let's not forget that we have indeed lost Smith, Bindon, Mbengue, Craig, Wareham and Campbell from the squad.

I think that was the point of the post - that those on the list have either already gone, or are still under thread of disappearing before the transfer window closes...

Whist understanding the need for pragmatism and balance we do seem to have been hemorrhaging decent players.
I know we still have sometime but is our apprentice CEO and fairly new manger able to attract and negotiate deals that match our previous recruitment over the last 18 months.
Noel is now becoming vocal about the need for bodies.
Just hope we don't end up seeing another Tommy Burns type transfer flurry!

Maybe they’ll ask our highly experienced Director of Recruitment to get involved ?

Tbh fairly relaxed about how the squad is shaping. Obvs there’s the usual clamour from the Twitter gang about signings for money (Alfie May at 1.2m?)

Id love to see us top of the table but the scars to the squad due to Dai and co were so deep I think we’ll need time to stabilise

I reckon Savage will go before the end of the window. I thought he was outstanding vs a very good Spurs midfield. He is definitely Champ level. Certainly wouldn’t be suprised to see Knibbs go. If we can get in good money for those 2 then I’m ok with it

I assume Okine Peters has something about him - he did ok on Saturday. Osho already looks a lot better than Campbell on what I’ve seen. Camara looked better. Stickland and Borgnis both looked good and Sackey not out of place. Ahmed and Ryan look decent fb back ups

We should trust these lads as we have over the last couple of years and build where we can on top - good players will become available over the next few weeks to add as well

I’ve not heard anything to suggest this isn’t happening. I’m expecting it to be announced this week. Along with the German

WestYorksRoyal I wonder if the owners need to set a precedent this window. A lot of people will look at a club with our facilities and new owners in L1 and think we're going to go big with budgets. Plenty of our fans seem to expect that and I'm sure potential signings do too. But that's not how the owners see it. By being very vocal about people asking for too much and unrealistic expectations, it lets everyone know where we stand for future windows.

I was wondering this also. Having just taken over if we splash a little cash this summer then maybe clubs/players think it will be the way moving forward. If we grind our way through this first window without anything too flashy people will largely forget we have new owners by Jan/next summer and maybe the money we spend stretches a little further. Fine in theory but not much fun in reality if we don't get the attacking reinforcements or enough quality when we do
