Loving the various spellings of EKITIKE's name on this thread.

I wonder how many more there'll be before we all get used to it.

Kyle Walker-Peters had agreed to join Besiktas, and was apparently due to fly out for his medical today, but then asked Besiktas last minute if he could have a little more time to think it over again. The club got wind that he had spoken with West Ham, and so they have put out a statement:

"It is publicly known that the arrival of Kyle Walker-Peters, with whom we previously announced an agreement in principle and invited him to Istanbul for a medical examination, has been postponed.

"Today, Kyle Walker-Peters notified us, requesting an extension. Consequently, our club has withdrawn its transfer.

fair play to 'em

No money Utd on the go again I see, looking forward to their P&S status being thoroughly investigated.

WestYorksRoyal Seems to have moved quickly. Ekitike close to Liverpool, which presume means Isak staying at Newcastle, who are interested in Wissa as a cheaper alternative.

Ekitike confirmed.

Growing talk that Liverpool want Isak too.

This one is going to run. Think Newcastle realise their P&S position can only be shaken off if they get silly money for him and so he’ll either be talking Saudi or pushing for Liverpool.

Interesting read here on how Liverpool are funding this summer's huge transfer window.

Him to Saudi would be such a ludicrous waste of a top talent

Having had the pleasure of watching Ekitike in person a few times last season, I feel confident in saying, in that Liverpool team he will rip teams to pieces. An absolutely fantastic player. Eintracht had already signed his replacement, Burkhardt from Mainz but otherwise seem determined just to bank all the extra cash coming their way via transfers and CL and focus on bringing through the excellent young players at their disposal.

They must have some 'war chest'. Marmoush, Ekitike, Pacho for c. €200m. Muani to PSG for around €80m I think a year ago. Can't have spent €30m on them combined.

Kolo Muani was free
Marmoush was €6m
Pacho was €11m
Ekitike was around €20m

So around 37m spent and about 200m brought in, The recruitment department at the club really do have an eye for undervalued talent.

Xavi Simons to Chelsea. Glad he's coming to the Prem, but would rather see him go to pretty much anyone else.
